  • Oasis of calm away from NYC

"I can't really extoll the loveliness of the Treehouse enough. The house is beautifully designed and curated, endlessly peaceful, and the surrounding area (the woods! The creek! The rail trail!) is gorgeous and serene. This was our first visit and it definitely won't be our last!!"

  • Great space and views from modern family house.

"We had a wonderful summer month here. The kids loved the wide open fields to fly kites and the swing and climbing frame behind the house. The woods were great for making dens and there was fabulous wildlife from hummingbirds at the bird feeder, to deer and fireflies at night. The house was beautifully light and spacious with wonderful views. The kitchen was wells equipped. The owners were easy to contact and quick to respond to any house glitches. We would very much recommend it as a great escape."

  • Refreshing Vacation With Beautiful Setting

"If you are looking for a vacation where you will return home rested and refreshed, then you have come to the right place. You won't be dissapointed by choosing this beautiful setting in one of New York state's prettiest areas. An attractive, spotless home, right on the lake's waterfront. We visted from 2500 miles away in Vancouver, BC, and would defintely come again. The photos and description of the home and surroundings are accurate. The owner is as pleasant and helpful as you will find anywhere. Some of the things we enjoyed: Morning coffee outside on lake's edge; kayaking; walking; visitng by the fireplace; sightseeing and shopping in Albany; touring quaint villages in rural settings; local markets and stores; eating out in Hudson."

  • Family Reunion - Countless Memories

"Celebrated my mother's 70th this summer by serving up three generations in one house for one week. There was something for everyone - actually, we did not even get to all the stuff we wanted to do. The house was immediately comfortable, while having all the amenities necessary to have a great vacation. The kayaks were used multiple times a day, as was the hot tub. The lakefront offered us endless hours of fishing. My 8-year old caught her first fish (and then some 10 more!) over the course of our week's stay. My husband & I ran each day along the lake and the sights of deer, beaver, bunnies and more were so fun. We went cherry picking at a nearby farm. We ventured off to the Catamount Adventure Park - a zip-line galaxy of fun. We climbed Bash Bish Falls - yes, even our matriarch made the excursion! And the very best was the view each and every day - rain or shine - of the lake itself. Each of us stole quiet moments in the early morning to watch the sunrise and later that day would return for a festive gathering around the campfire. The rainbow that decorated the skies on our final night completed the entire experience. We would love to make the Copake Lake House an annual trek...fingers crossed we will be able to!"
