"We had several families share this house for a total of 12 people. There was plenty of room and everyone loved the house. We had young children, teenagers and grandmothers in our group. We loved the lake and the pontoon boat was a treat. The kitchen is wonderful - and is better stocked than most rentals. We will rent this home again when in the area and I've shared the details with other friends who plan to visit. Tons of apple orchards nearby if you're visiting in the fall. Tara House is a great find. Thanks Kevin!
P.S. - The best place to shop for groceries nearby is the Price Chopper in Warwick. Very clean newer store with a high end feel, deli, bakery and eatery. It's less than 20 minutes away and prices and selection better than the walmart 30 minutes away."

"Our family enjoyed a great weekend at the Cottage. The owners of the Inn were very nice and helpful with answering questions about local places/events (both on the phone beforehand and during our stay). The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The paddle boat looked fun (we saw other B&B visitors paddling back to the dock) but we didn't have the opportunity to use it between other daily plans and intermittent rainy weather.
We ate dinner at some nearby waterfront restaurants which were also terrific, and had a great time exploring Greenwood Lake and nearby towns of Warwick and Tuxedo. It's great that the lakeside cottage is so close to everything: wineries, the drive-in, bowling, antique shops, farms & orchards with country shops. All good things can be found off of Rt 17A!
Our family would definitely think about coming back and have no problem recommending this place to friends."

"Absolutely lovely retreat. Comfortable and well-supplied. Quiet and serene location. Perfect home base to make day trips to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Great Barrington and Lenox, Bash Bish Falls and lots of other attractions. Local sweet corn was superb!"
