"We had the best vacation and this was the perfect place to come home to after a tiring day of hiking and biking. This spacious home has lots of charm and character. The beds are super comfortable and there are TV's in all the rooms which was great for late night relaxing. The front porch was perfect for evening gatherings and we all loved the tree swing, the teens and adults! Marty truly thought of everything, as this house has all the comforts of home. The location was awesome as well, so many great trails and small towns to explore, all very nearby. Marty was also wonderful to interact with, she is truly the perfect hostess. We will certainly be returning to the area and will stay here again for another memorable vacation!"

"A lovely home, perfect for our multi-generational family weekend. The kids loved the loft bedroom, and grown ups delighted in the spacious living areas. Just as pictured! Comfy beds, thoughtful host... Thank you, Kim!"

"This time last week I was at Barn On The Pond, sitting round the firepit with a group of friends roasting marshmallows under a giant full moon. The 9 of us had the Barn for about a week and it made for a perfect country getaway. It was easy to get to without a car from NYC (bus to kingston + cab) and we took plenty of groceries so that we didn't need to head into Woodstock or Saugerties unless we fancied dining out or takeaway pizza. One afternoon four of us sat in the secret alcove on the upper deck for 3 or 4 hours, lounging on pillows and drinking wine as cicadas buzzed and the sky gently changed from blue to orange to mauve to black. It's a memory that'll sustain me until the next time I'm there."

"Casual comfort in a charming, quiet neighborhood, a five minute walk to the stores and restaurants on Broadway and, for horse lovers, an easy ten minute drive to Saratoga Race Course. This describes our enjoyable stay in this three bedroom, two bath 'condo', which is attached to the owner's home. The owner was available if we had any questions about the area, but was not intrusive. She was a wealth of information regarding local history, the race course and restaurants. The living room has two large comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV, and there is a large dining room table if you choose to enjoy your meals at home. A Mr. Coffee maker and a Keurig were available for our use, set up on a side board, reminding me of a B & B. The kitchen had all the essential ingredients to prepare breakfast to dinner (of course we supplied our own food!) There is an eclectic mix of furniture in the bedrooms that are located on the second floor. Our friends enjoyed their stay in the airy master bedroom that has a queen bed, while we chose one of the smaller rooms that has a queen bed. The owner supplies all the linens and towels and provided us with paper goods which was great. There is also a washer and dryer that seemed brand new for our use. One of my favorite features about the condo was sitting on the deck alongside the house, enjoying morning coffee, listening to the birds and looking at the beautiful morning glories. The owner provided a table and chairs with an umbrella, as well as a grill.
We enjoy the horse racing at Saratoga Race course, sitting on chairs in the picnic area. This location is an easy drive, avoiding the traffic lights in town, with pay for parking lots that are a block or two from the main gate. Of course we visit local restaurants and it is wonderful that we are able to walk to most of them, including some in the Arts District on the West Side. We always go to Saratoga National Golf Course and enjoy a delicious lunch.
We enjoyed our ten day stay in this charming house. It is in a great location for all that we choose to do and we look forward to our visit next year. We are already booked!"
