  • Cute, Convenient Cottage

"This was a perfect small cottage for two friends/two couples/small family to share. We came to stay as an alternative to camping for the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. There is a lot to do in the area (and plenty of info at the cottage about it) but we spent all of our time at the festival. It was clean and well stocked with linens and towels. Loved the front porch. We didn't need air conditioning -- we slept with the windows open as the street is quiet and there is a stream running adjacent to the property. Communication with the owners was great. They were very flexible with our changing schedule and even mailed me a sweater that I left hanging in a closet. We would definitely rent this cottage again."

  • A beautiful home and property

"The listing for this spacious, light-filled house, right on the river, seemed too to be true, but it lived up to and exceeded our expectations. We had breakfast and coffee on the porch each morning looking out on the river, sunned out on the dock, swam, and canoed on the river. There's a huge and well-stocked kitchen we cooked most meals in, though there's also a wealth of options nearby in Saugerties and across the river in Red Hook and Rhinebeck. The house was comfortable and modern and got amazing light. Having spent some time in various towns near the Hudson, I can't stress enough how exceptional this place is, and that it has some much frontage feet from the house. As you look across and up and down the river you can see there really arena't that many properties that are truly river-front. One note: the current on the Hudson can get strong. If you start your canoe ride downstream, save some arm strength for the trip back."

  • Great weekend stay!

"A group of old friends/new dad's decided to get away for a weekend to reconnect with each other. This place exceeded our expectations! Denise was an incredible host - made sure that we had everything we needed and, when we didn't, resolved it. She made everything easy. We are a pretty low maintenance group, so as long as we had a fire pit, grill and water, we were happy. The proximity to the water, cleanliness of the place and added bonus of having access to the motor boat made the experience even better. Of note, if you're looking for seclusion, the house if located right beside one of the (small) boat launches for the lake. We saw some people coming in and out of the launch/around the back yard (which is the lakefront), but that didn't bother us. Everyone was very friendly. If we can arrange our schedules, this gem will become our yearly meetup place. Thanks Denise!"

  • The description doesn't do it justice, this place is amazing!

"A group of friends gathered for a celebration at this amazing house and it was everything we could have asked for and more. The owner greeted us when we arrived, he showed us around and explained the amenities, he was a real nice guy. The interior is enormous and has a good layout. Pool table was in very good shape and there is plenty of room for anything. Nice TV, nice couches, plenty of nice tables and chairs. The bar was large and included very nice bar glasses of all varieties, 3 large industrial coolers like a real bar, nice chairs, and cards and games. Everything you could need. The outdoor grill area was excellent, and we enjoyed sitting around a nice outdoor fire after dark, he even provided the wood! The lake was beautiful with a nice little sandy beach, a sand volleyball court nearby and plenty of open field space. We played everything, cornhole, football, frisbee, wiffleball, and canoe rides! The land is just beautiful and VERY private, you have a whole lake to yourself and all kinds of open fields! I highly recommend this rental home for any type of get-together or celebration. You can tell immediately that it is very well cared for and kept up nice. I just wish that we were able to stay for more than two nights! Enjoy!"
