"We came up for an annual "boys trip" that I do with my father (early 70s) and my 7 and 5 year old sons. From booking to scheduling/logistics and during our trip, Denise could not have been more fantastic and helpful. The house is really great and exactly what it looks like on the website. It's pretty basic on the outside and a nice, smaller space, but the layout is perfect and the finishing is fantastically well done. The whole place was clearly gut renovated and the kitchens and bathrooms are really nice. The bedrooms are nicely furnished with new, comfortable beds and nice linens. My Dad can be funny about beds and he was happy as a clam
The highlight of the place though is the views of the lake, either from the nice screened-in porch or from the living room (which is all glass fronted onto the porch)
The house comes with use of both a powerboat and a canoe/kayak and has a nice little dock. My boys fished off of the boat and also off the dock. We are total novice fishermen and the boys were still able to catch 10 fish between them over 2-3 days (maybe 3 hours of fishing in total). The lake is very well stocked and we literally caught fish by dropping lines straight down 2 feet off of the dock. The kids are not long on patience for fishing and so it was absolutely perfect for them
The house is only a 10-15 minute ride to Bish-Bash falls, which is a great hike and a really neat thing to see. Everyone had a great time with that. The house also has a firepit in the back and lots of dry (covered) firewood, so an early evening fire and s'mores was super-easy and fun
Just an absolutely great experience for everyone and we will definitely be back next year!"

"For the past eight years, my former college roommates and I have picked a location to meet for a girl's weekend. We live in all corners of the world and this is our time to catch up and have fun! We picked this house for its location and local activities. The house is large enough to accommodate a big group, yet still feels like home. Very clean, nice decor and great cooking kitchen! The grounds in summer are spectacular! The owner, Gina, was as nice as can be! Even offered us some vegetables from her garden!
Local activities included a visit to the Mohonk Mountain House and a hike up to Skytop....through the Lemon Squeeze! Not for the faint of heart, but definitely a powerful experience! There are great restaurants and shops in town and also the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail for biking. So much to do, so little time!
Up until this time, we haven't found a location or house that fit all of our needs that we would make a repeat visit to. I think we have finally found a spot that we would revisit! Thank you, Gina, for letting us stay in your lovely home!"

"My friends and I stayed at the house while attending a wedding in the area. The owner was very friendly, flexible, and helpful. The decor is bold, quirky, and just right. The planter/sculpture in the living room was a big hit, as were the smattering of stuffed animals. There were plenty of kitchen wares, board games, and towels. I loved the fire and seating area by the water and the round booth in the kitchen. There is a screened outdoor dining room, but there were no mosquitoes, so we lounged and dined on the patio. We got out on the water with the float and canoe--what could be better? There are other houses around the pond, but the house feels private, and everyone is there for more or less the same reason. There is plenty of easy parking, and the supermarket isn't too far. The few downsides: The one fold-out bed could stand replacement with a "real" bed. Some sinks and showers had low water pressure. The electric stove could be a drawback for the picky chef. It's a special spot, a world of relaxation. Highly recommended."
