  • Fantastic Accommodations

"A stunning home and view, minutes from the village of New Paltz. Bedrooms and baths top notch, the kitchen, living room, dining room and tv nook designed with every comfort imaginable, all spotlessly clean and warm for our arrival. Started our long weekend with a stop at the Cheese Plate in the Water Street Market, grabbed some surprisingly good produce at the Stop & Shop, and spent most of the weekend in front of the double fireplace, watching the sun rise from the rear terrace, and set over the gunk cliffs from the front terrace. Excellent sound system, plenty of table space and seating inside and out. Ventured to the Tuthilltown Distillery for a tour and delicious dinner (10 minutes away in Gardiner), and also to the Mountain Brauhaus ( 5 min. away), but enjoyed cooking and eating all our other meals at the house. Gina and Brian provided excellent customer service, quick response to all inquiries. Would highly recommend this property for intimate or large gatherings, and am looking forward to our next visit!"

  • A Beautiful Family Experience !!

"My family can't stop talking about our wonderful stay this past June. This was our first time experience of renting a home - It was far BETTER than expected. There were 11 of us – 9 adults and 2 children. We traveled by cars from California to New York & Canada …. Not one of the hotels compared to the time we spent here. We were able to relax and spend what will likely be one of the most memorable family vacations for all of us! No surprises - The pictures are just as shown. Spotless! Landscaping wonderfully maintained as well as the crystal clear swimming pool - Our favorite place to be. We have some Family portraits decorating our home from the beautiful surroundings :) Thank you ! The property manager was as good as they come. He was there if we needed anything, but NEVER bothered us. He gave us the feeling of having a home of our own to enjoy for the 8 nights. We enjoyed the animals (dogs & cats) that came around as we missed ours from home. Also the grandchildren enjoyed seeing the horses. We would highly recommend this place for any family who wants to get away from staying in the city. It was about an 1 ½ - 2 hr drive to New York city but what a beautiful drive it was ! We hope to stay again in a few years and just want to thank the property manager and the owners for providing this wonderful home for others to enjoy."

  • For a serene and beautiful escape from the City!

"Came here for a few days to enjoy the quiet surroundings and beauty of the surrounding area and was not disappointed. The house is lovely and well-equipped for comfort and cooking your own meals. Cute kitchen and comfy family room with skylights and lots of windows that allow you to enjoy the wooded view. Not far from Kent, CT and other small hamlets in NY state. Check out the nearby farmer's markets in summer! I rode my bicycle easily into Kent for breakfast one morning - lovely ride. Great perks: dog friendly if approved by owner; fireplace that owner allows you to use (as of this writing); baby grand piano (I enjoyed practicing while there); ample patio with well-maintained grill and wood stove for cool evenings outside. I must add that the owner is lovely and accommodating, with a warm sense of humor. She holds your comfort and satisfaction in high regard."

  • Plesantly Surprised

"This was our second rental for the summer, and I opted for something I though was affordable, yet maybe without all the amenities I usually look for. When we arrived, I was honestly not so excited that other houses were clearly in view and close by. Actually, there are true moments of seclusion, solitude and peace in this home on Kinderhook Lake. During the week there were hardly any boats on the water, and renting the kayaks was great because there are small nooks of undeveloped areas on the lake. I even saw beaver (well, I am a city girl so maybe it was something else). I loved the enclosed deck and used it as my "gym" and we were quite comfortable in the indoor space provided. There are great hikes nearby in the Berkshires, but even sitting on the dock and soaking in the view was amazing. Just what I needed to unwind. It is a simple home, but has everything you need for a wonderful retreat. Also, the owners were more than accomodating and gave us some great tips for the area. I have been renting summer homes for like 10 years now, and I have never thought of going back. I think we will!!! Thanks Maura and Rick!"
