  • CHARMING CABIN, GREAT HOST.

"This place is amazing! The house is beautiful, clean, full of details that make it unique. You can see that it has a soul. Tom was very accommodating, I HAD NO REASON TO CALL HIM SINCE EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER AND IN THE SAID PLACE MENTIONED IN AGREEMENT. The nature around the house is amazing very quite, All of the beds are comfortable and big enough for adults. We also enjoyed the river that runs down the hill (the water was so clean and refreshing!), Our stay was wonderful and I would recommend this place to everybody without a shadow of a doubt! our family was well pleased. looking forward to visiting again soon. Thanks again, Tom!"

  • Summertime in Hudson

"We had a lovely time in Michael's house. The interior is nicely decorated and full of idiosyncratic curiosities and art to enjoy. You can tell the house belongs to an artist. Michael couldn't have been nicer as a landlord. The transactions were very easy. The house is quiet, yet convenient to Hudson street shops and restaurants and an easy exit location for going to events at Bard or across the river. The backyard was great for barbecue and drinks outside. Enjoy!"

  • Blissful and Fun Weekend @ Lake Bliss

"My husband, myself & friends were looking for a relaxing weekend by the lake to take a break from the hustle & bustle of the city. We had a wonderful, fun and comfortable weekend despite Saturday's rainy weather. The owner, Robert was more than accommodating and welcomed us into his charming lake house home. We stayed on the top floor unit and shared the grounds and outdoor/lake equipment with the small group of guests staying in the bottom floor unit. We had more than enough space to share and never felt crowded or uncomfortable. We made good use of the outdoor space and enjoyed sitting outside when using the bbq and sitting by the bonfire pit. Robert made sure we were made aware of the local and neighborhood attractions, and we even ventured out to a nearby hiking trail just a short drive away. Thanks again Robert for a great stay, for nipping the bathroom issue in the bud asap, and for allowing us to make up for lost time on Sunday due to Sat's rainy weather. We highly recommend your lake house home and have a new appreciation for Whaley Lake & the Holmes, NY area!!! Hope to return back one day soon! Best, Elena, John & Friends"

  • Magical vacation getaway

"My husband, two kids and I have stayed at Cottage now for three summers, for a week to 10 days in late August. These have been some of the most magical days of our life! We hang out on the porch looking over the massive, expansive grass lawn, breathing in the oxygen and serenity... all you can see is grass and trees, and in the distance, the red hen house, with beautiful funny chickens running around in the mornings. After breakfast, we head down to the lake, a couple minutes walk, and swim on-and-off all day, using the canoes and paddle boats. The lake is gorgeous and clean, surrounded by lovely trees, and features little fish and turtles that sun themselves on logs. Peg and her husband keep the grounds so well groomed that you get the feel of being on an old classic estate with rolling hills and landscaping to admire. It's relaxing and lovely. Peg and her husband are great hosts while giving you all the privacy you need to feel you are in your own secluded space. Peg rides around in the mornings on her golf cart with eggs from the hen house, and she's been really generous to let our daughter, who is 8, ride around with her and help collect the eggs. I can't recommend Cottage more. The furnishings are modest, the beds are very comfortable with nice linens, and the little brick and wood house is all set up for grilling and time spent reflecting on the porch. There's also a screened-in room in back that the kids love to play in. (Our other child has been an infant to 2 year old when we've visited). I hope we can visit every year. We visited once in autumn and it was just as gorgeous, refreshing and intoxicating as it is in summer."
