"Exactly as advertised this is definitely a "Charming Village Getaway". My boyfriend and I booked the apartment to spend the weekend in Red Hook for our friend's wedding. The owner was quick to respond to our inquiries and made the transaction hassle free. This is a garden level apartment under the main house. It's very clean and exactly as advertised. There has been a lot of attention to the details and nice small touches that make it very homey (like the writing desk with stationary, a kitchen with handy items like a cork-screw and bathroom products in case you forgot something). Although the owners are right upstairs they unobtrusive and friendly. It was so much better than most of the other options I found in the Red Hook area and other wedding guests who stopped by loved it and wished they had found it! Worked out perfect since we were able to walk to town for an incredible dinner at Mercato (which is just down at the end of Cherry St.) and from there we walked to a local pub to meet others for the pre-wedding day party! It couldn’t have worked out better. Highly recommended if you find need for accommodation in Red Hook, NY!!!"

"We have visited the house again and again and still think it is the best one in the Hudson Valley.
The house itself is so specious, filled with light and very welcoming. It can comfortably sleep 10 people, if opening the sofa beds even 14. Our favorite parts are the master bedroom and of course the kitchen! The kitchen is large, overlooking the pond, with a restaurant grade oven and range. It can host many people for the best friends and family cooking together feasts.
The property is enormous and has so much to offer: from a vegetable garden to a tree house. The best part is of course the beautiful pond where one can swim in the summer and ice skate during winter, or just take a walk around it and get inspired.
The house is fifteen minutes drive from Red Hook and Rheinbach with world class dining, antique shops, and farmers market. 'Another Fork In The Road' restaurant is real gem just few minutes walk.
We've been coming for summer vacations when we were swimming, kayaking and taking walks, as well as winter vacations when we were sledding with the kids, walking on the icy pond, and sitting in front of the fire place.
We can't wait to visit again!"

"Rented the home this weekend with a group of late 20's - mid 30 somethings while we were in the area for a wedding. Very responsive helpful and kind property manager/owner during booking process. This house is absolutely amazing. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. First off, I would love for the owner to come decorate my apartment. It has a vintage/contemporary vibe going on. The amount of natural light coming in is unreal and nice to wake up to (though not overpowering in the morning thanks to the surrounding forest.) Having 2 full bathrooms was great for us and the home was VERY clean, spacious, and surprisingly private despite the fact that they share the road with other houses. We enjoyed the porch, grill and hot tub, which was SO nice with the fall colors and cool nights. Tip for comfort: recommend bringing a hoodie and some slippers for the night because it can get a little chilly but nothing that these two things can’t fix. We found we were not too far from town, where there are coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and a little bit of shopping. Bard college is not far away so there is a younger crowd mixed in with the locals and the town has a little bit of a hippy feel to it. The property is convenient to several other small towns (the wedding itself was in Germantown). There is some nice easy hiking in the area as well as apple farms and a fun little corn maze. Great for all types of groups, BOOK IT!! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this property."
