"This is a wonderful house right on Lake Oscawanna-- perfect for swimming, canoeing, deer-watching and hiking. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need; also there was a huge gas grill on the deck. Furniture was extremely comfortable (and clean), and there were lots of books and games. Swings and basketball equipment were a bonus.
We were a family of six, from 2 to 70 years old, and we had a ball. The house is well-located for exploring the Garrison-Cold Spring area; we went over to Storm King Art Center, but we never made it to West Point (next time). The whole area was so lush and green that it was a real retreat from the heat and humidity 60-odd miles south. The temperature was extremely comfortable as well; we hardly had to use the air conditioning.
Ellen was a great hostess. It's an accomplishment to maintain a house like this, that's welcoming and comfortable from the minute you open the door. Thank you!"

"We stayed for 5 days at this lovely Rhinebeck home. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a lovely camp like vacation with our daughter and son-in-law. Our dog loved it too! The pool was perfect, the yard was great and the only thing we couldn't get working was the hot tub, but it was not really needed to make our stay just great. Thanks Marlene for a lovely vacation. A lovely house -minor inconvenience (easily fixed)
"This home is truly lovely - nicer than the pics can show. The living room features cathedral-style ceilings that really make the entire space feel very open and spacious. The deck overlooks a small creek, and is a great place to do some morning yoga or just sit and relax. The kitchen is well stocked, and the local food markets have wonderful organics, so one can cook great meals, if so inclined. Our one small detail - apparently due to a miscommunication, the house had not been cleaned when we arrived, so we had to go into town for a few hours while the housekeeper and her family came at the last minute to deal with the issue. Though this was indeed disruptive, Noa and Raphael were sympathetic and agreed to refund us for the day."

"We just got back from a week at Willow Lake and we had an amazing time. We had a large group (12 people) ranging from little kids to teens to grandparents and everyone loved it. We stayed in the two adjoining rentals at the gatehouse and it was plenty of room for all of us. Peg was wonderful and even gave us fresh eggs during our entire stay! There was a ton to do from fishing to paddle boating to a campfire by the lake. The property is very private, but still close enough to grocery stores, the colleges (we were there for a Vassar graduation) and sights to be able to do lots of activities including going down into the city for the day. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to get away and relax!"
