"Rented the home this weekend with a group of late 20's - mid 30 somethings while we were in the area for a wedding. Very responsive helpful and kind property manager/owner during booking process. This house is absolutely amazing. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. First off, I would love for the owner to come decorate my apartment. It has a vintage/contemporary vibe going on. The amount of natural light coming in is unreal and nice to wake up to (though not overpowering in the morning thanks to the surrounding forest.) Having 2 full bathrooms was great for us and the home was VERY clean, spacious, and surprisingly private despite the fact that they share the road with other houses. We enjoyed the porch, grill and hot tub, which was SO nice with the fall colors and cool nights. Tip for comfort: recommend bringing a hoodie and some slippers for the night because it can get a little chilly but nothing that these two things can’t fix. We found we were not too far from town, where there are coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and a little bit of shopping. Bard college is not far away so there is a younger crowd mixed in with the locals and the town has a little bit of a hippy feel to it. The property is convenient to several other small towns (the wedding itself was in Germantown). There is some nice easy hiking in the area as well as apple farms and a fun little corn maze. Great for all types of groups, BOOK IT!! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this property."

"Our stay at The Barn in Tivoli was absolute perfection. From the moment you walk through the door, the Barn transports you into a timeless world of peace and magic. Bruna and Andrew were warm and completely accommodating. We will be back very soon!"

"We came up for an annual "boys trip" that I do with my father (early 70s) and my 7 and 5 year old sons. From booking to scheduling/logistics and during our trip, Denise could not have been more fantastic and helpful. The house is really great and exactly what it looks like on the website. It's pretty basic on the outside and a nice, smaller space, but the layout is perfect and the finishing is fantastically well done. The whole place was clearly gut renovated and the kitchens and bathrooms are really nice. The bedrooms are nicely furnished with new, comfortable beds and nice linens. My Dad can be funny about beds and he was happy as a clam
The highlight of the place though is the views of the lake, either from the nice screened-in porch or from the living room (which is all glass fronted onto the porch)
The house comes with use of both a powerboat and a canoe/kayak and has a nice little dock. My boys fished off of the boat and also off the dock. We are total novice fishermen and the boys were still able to catch 10 fish between them over 2-3 days (maybe 3 hours of fishing in total). The lake is very well stocked and we literally caught fish by dropping lines straight down 2 feet off of the dock. The kids are not long on patience for fishing and so it was absolutely perfect for them
The house is only a 10-15 minute ride to Bish-Bash falls, which is a great hike and a really neat thing to see. Everyone had a great time with that. The house also has a firepit in the back and lots of dry (covered) firewood, so an early evening fire and s'mores was super-easy and fun
Just an absolutely great experience for everyone and we will definitely be back next year!"

"Our family (parents and three adult children) had a wonderful time at
this house last year. We liked it so much, we are returning this
The wrap-around deck, overlooking a long, forest valley is fabulous.
You can spend all day there. The deck has a big picnic table, a chaise
lounge and plenty of comfortable chairs and little tables, a gas
grill, and a charcoal grill. Inside, the first floor has an open
layout with the kitchen, dining area and living room flowing into each
other, facing a wall of windows overlooking the forest, with views of
the hills beyond, and the sky. The pool is refreshing and close
enough to the house to have a chat with folks on the deck while
lounging in the pool. This place is very comfortable and relaxing and
totally "away from it all" - yet easy travel to NYC by train or car.
Cold Spring offers restaurants, and a park by the Hudson. Dia Beacon
and Storm King are short drives away. Highly recommended!!"
