"My wife and I travel quite a bit and to be fair, we realize we're a little picky. This place has been put together with a mindful touch. I love to cook and the kitchen is extremely adequate and accommodating with new gas range, new fridge, tons of counter space, a grill out back, everything you need and some great local farmers markets and grocery stores close by. There is a terrific wood burning stove in the main room that is extremely charming and works terrifically. We've been twice, once in cold weather and once in a little warmer. Terrific fire pit, relaxing chairs, and a beautiful sprawling backyard. Kept up interior of the house with nice working shower, washer and dryer if needed. Close to great hiking and biking trails/state park. Very nice and accommodating owner to top it off. Just a great place, great vibe, couldn't imagine not having a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back."

"Rented the home this weekend with a group of late 20's - mid 30 somethings while we were in the area for a wedding. Very responsive helpful and kind property manager/owner during booking process. This house is absolutely amazing. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. First off, I would love for the owner to come decorate my apartment. It has a vintage/contemporary vibe going on. The amount of natural light coming in is unreal and nice to wake up to (though not overpowering in the morning thanks to the surrounding forest.) Having 2 full bathrooms was great for us and the home was VERY clean, spacious, and surprisingly private despite the fact that they share the road with other houses. We enjoyed the porch, grill and hot tub, which was SO nice with the fall colors and cool nights. Tip for comfort: recommend bringing a hoodie and some slippers for the night because it can get a little chilly but nothing that these two things can’t fix. We found we were not too far from town, where there are coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and a little bit of shopping. Bard college is not far away so there is a younger crowd mixed in with the locals and the town has a little bit of a hippy feel to it. The property is convenient to several other small towns (the wedding itself was in Germantown). There is some nice easy hiking in the area as well as apple farms and a fun little corn maze. Great for all types of groups, BOOK IT!! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this property."

"This was our second Thanksgiving spent in this beautiful house and we had again a wonderful time! this time it was snowing so it was even more perfect. The house is tastefully decorated and warm and it has everything you need, fantastic views of the Catskills mountains, lots of outdoor entertainment and most of all peace and quiet!
We cannot wait to go back!"

"Our family, mom, pop, 8 year hold and 19 mo old, had another wonderful weekend at the Cottage. It's clean, well-maintained, comfortable. The heating system works extremely well and with 2 zones it makes it very easy to regulate. Even in the midst of winter it's charming. The frozen lake just on the other side of the road is irresistible even without skates, but if you're tired of going around in circles on skating rinks, nothing beats skating on a frozen lake. It's proximity to Mt. Peter for skiing is excellent...5 minutes and your home. Equally great is a quick 20 minute drive over to Woodbury Commons to pick up some great deals on clothing and other items."
