"As soon as we walk into the cabin, we felt at home. It was so charming and peaceful. The trees were at full peak so the views were amazing. The kitchen was well equipped; the cabin was clean and so comfortable. The cabin was actually better then the photos. The hot tub was a standout helping my aching shoulder! The owner, Rannie, was so attentive going the extra mile to make you feel at home. When we ran into a small problem she was on it immediately not to spoil any time from our trip....and Maxi was a joy to meet! I would recommend this property to anyone who wanted to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains! Phoenicia is a really nice little small town and appears to be filled with ex-Brooklynites which really made us feel at home!! The Phoenician restaurant is a beautiful restaurant which you would not expect to find in the mountains....the food was really good too! We can't wait to return to Phoenicia....our new found bit of Paradise!"

"First of all, Carolyn was a responsive owner before and during the stay. She was clearly eager to make her home feel like our home (for all too short a time!).
We had two kids, ages 5 & 7, and cousins aged 10 and 12, plus my mom. Stella Farm has raised the bar for vacation homes in our family -- my kids now expect a huge, bucolic yard, a clean, luxurious pool, and a trampoline!
For the adult/parents, too, this house was a dream. The hammock, the garden, the lawn, the pool, the kitchen, the beds -- the linens were as nice as ones at home! -- the porch (omg the porch!). The house was my vision of a country home.
I took a class at Bard College, and my drive was glorious each morning -- with cornfields and farms all around. The town where the house is located is quiet and rural, away from the tourist traffic, but Rhinebeck is a short drive where you'll find tons to do. We explored a number of little towns easily, and mucked about in the numerous swimming holes. There was fruit picking galore and plenty of places to buy artisan foods.
This place is heaven on Earth. Rent it today!"

"I spent three nights here on a solo getaway/writing retreat. The cottage is just lovely - no detail forgotten, filled with great artwork and antiques, but with a very homey feel too. The kitchen is very well appointed. The lawn is expansive and leads you down to the riverfront, where boats are available for use. There is a large apple tree by the porch, and I loved watching the deer come to snack on the fallen fruit. I took a short drive to visit Olana, which was well worth it. In short, a wonderful place where I hope to stay again soon!"

"We stayed for 5 days at this lovely Rhinebeck home. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a lovely camp like vacation with our daughter and son-in-law. Our dog loved it too! The pool was perfect, the yard was great and the only thing we couldn't get working was the hot tub, but it was not really needed to make our stay just great. Thanks Marlene for a lovely vacation.
