  • Fantastic Accommodations

"A stunning home and view, minutes from the village of New Paltz. Bedrooms and baths top notch, the kitchen, living room, dining room and tv nook designed with every comfort imaginable, all spotlessly clean and warm for our arrival. Started our long weekend with a stop at the Cheese Plate in the Water Street Market, grabbed some surprisingly good produce at the Stop & Shop, and spent most of the weekend in front of the double fireplace, watching the sun rise from the rear terrace, and set over the gunk cliffs from the front terrace. Excellent sound system, plenty of table space and seating inside and out. Ventured to the Tuthilltown Distillery for a tour and delicious dinner (10 minutes away in Gardiner), and also to the Mountain Brauhaus ( 5 min. away), but enjoyed cooking and eating all our other meals at the house. Gina and Brian provided excellent customer service, quick response to all inquiries. Would highly recommend this property for intimate or large gatherings, and am looking forward to our next visit!"

  • Comfortable home, great hot tub, most relaxing

"Greg's home is such a relaxing place. The kitchen, dining room overlook the deck which overlooks a spacious lawn leading down to the water where geese can be seen flying over frequently. Enjoying the view from the hot tub is even better. We had three young deer who visited every morning and evening. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable; we especially enjoyed having three bathrooms so no one had to share. The home is easy to get to and easy to drive to other towns in HRV. Emmanuals grocery is just minutes away and the Bird's Nest restaurant was one of our favorite stops! We met the owner who has been there for 41 years - obviously has loyal local customers who know a great place to dine frequently. Greg was quick to answer any questions we had and most accomodating. This is a great place to "de-stress" and recharge."

  • Awesome weekend in a Beautiful Home

"A group of us (12 total) stayed in this cozy yet enormous home for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The interior of the house is much larger than the photos represent. Even for 12 people, the house provided ample space with three different living rooms and seven bedrooms. In addition, the view from the back porch was incredible. The property was very clean and all possible amenities were provided. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and have many new memories. I would recommend this house to any group of individuals looking for a place to relax in the Hudson Valley area. We look forward to coming back."

  • Charming, short weekend stay

"We rented the house primarily as a place to sleep while attending a wedding in nearby Herondale Farms and wound up wishing we had time to just hang around the house and enjoy the property and views. It is wonderfully secluded; no other homes are in view and there. There are woods behind the house and a wonderful large meadow in front. It is the owner's country home and is very warm and personal. Some of the other wedding party stayed in modern houses around Upper Rhoda Pond but they were furnished as rentals and did not have the personal warmth of someone's home. The refrigerator was stocked with the request that we use what we need, replace what we have used up and throw out what was expired. Nice! The house was spotless; the internet did work and that is essential since cell phone reception is nil. There is also a landline for use and the owner considerately provides calling cards for long distance. It took a while to convince the owner to give me the exact location so I could be sure it was the property I viewed on satellite images but seeing how secluded it is I understand why the owner wanted to be sure we were serious renters. The only complaints, that were only from one of my adult sons, was that the beds are very soft, almost like feather beds. My wife loved that! There are nice artisan stores in Millerton, 20 minutes SE on Hwy 8, a good grocery store, and a nearby Alpaca farm. There are a few stairs so it's not wheel chair friendly but I was on crutches and had no problem. It's a lovely, personal home for well behaved guests!"
