"Every year for the NY Sheep & Wool Festival, twelve close friends travel from the all over to spend the weekend in this wonderful, unique and beautifully decorated house. 2014 marked our 3rd year in Conrad's house. There are big rooms for everyone to gather in , and private spaces to chill out in. The grounds are beautiful. The kitchen spacious and well equipped. The bathrooms, clean and elegant. I just have no words for how much "Rhinebeck" weekend spent in this house means to to all of us. It is the highlight of the year. Thank you Conrad!"

"This was our second Thanksgiving spent in this beautiful house and we had again a wonderful time! this time it was snowing so it was even more perfect. The house is tastefully decorated and warm and it has everything you need, fantastic views of the Catskills mountains, lots of outdoor entertainment and most of all peace and quiet!
We cannot wait to go back!"

"We rented the house primarily as a place to sleep while attending a wedding in nearby Herondale Farms and wound up wishing we had time to just hang around the house and enjoy the property and views. It is wonderfully secluded; no other homes are in view and there. There are woods behind the house and a wonderful large meadow in front. It is the owner's country home and is very warm and personal. Some of the other wedding party stayed in modern houses around Upper Rhoda Pond but they were furnished as rentals and did not have the personal warmth of someone's home. The refrigerator was stocked with the request that we use what we need, replace what we have used up and throw out what was expired. Nice! The house was spotless; the internet did work and that is essential since cell phone reception is nil. There is also a landline for use and the owner considerately provides calling cards for long distance. It took a while to convince the owner to give me the exact location so I could be sure it was the property I viewed on satellite images but seeing how secluded it is I understand why the owner wanted to be sure we were serious renters. The only complaints, that were only from one of my adult sons, was that the beds are very soft, almost like feather beds. My wife loved that!
There are nice artisan stores in Millerton, 20 minutes SE on Hwy 8, a good grocery store, and a nearby Alpaca farm. There are a few stairs so it's not wheel chair friendly but I was on crutches and had no problem. It's a lovely, personal home for well behaved guests!"

"When we pulled up to this beautiful countrified home we were delighted to see an authentic farmhouse on rolling acres of land. It is truly a mix of old rustic charm and modern, clean amenities. The decor had modern flair and clean lines but in a warm and comfortable way. My kids were excited to sit by the fire while I cooked a meal in the fully equipped and perfectly stocked kitchen next to the fireplace. The bathrooms were fully outfitted with the best fittings they make. Showers were relaxing and we had plenty of space for our family of five and our friends in the bedrooms. I highly recommend this getaway---although you feel secluded you are near all of the most adorable towns in the area--just a few minutes away by car. The owners were friendly and accommodating. We will be booking again soon!!"
