  • Home away from Home

"Our family, mom, pop, 8 year hold and 19 mo old, had another wonderful weekend at the Cottage. It's clean, well-maintained, comfortable. The heating system works extremely well and with 2 zones it makes it very easy to regulate. Even in the midst of winter it's charming. The frozen lake just on the other side of the road is irresistible even without skates, but if you're tired of going around in circles on skating rinks, nothing beats skating on a frozen lake. It's proximity to Mt. Peter for skiing is excellent...5 minutes and your home. Equally great is a quick 20 minute drive over to Woodbury Commons to pick up some great deals on clothing and other items."

  • Perfect Charming Escape!!

"When we pulled up to this beautiful countrified home we were delighted to see an authentic farmhouse on rolling acres of land. It is truly a mix of old rustic charm and modern, clean amenities. The decor had modern flair and clean lines but in a warm and comfortable way. My kids were excited to sit by the fire while I cooked a meal in the fully equipped and perfectly stocked kitchen next to the fireplace. The bathrooms were fully outfitted with the best fittings they make. Showers were relaxing and we had plenty of space for our family of five and our friends in the bedrooms. I highly recommend this getaway---although you feel secluded you are near all of the most adorable towns in the area--just a few minutes away by car. The owners were friendly and accommodating. We will be booking again soon!!"

  • A wonderful place to stay..

"My husband and I had a wonderful week at Le Petit Château with our adult daughters, and their husbands. The owner were very helpful with all our questions and concerns from first inquiry to final details upon arrival. The listing description was accurate regarding the location. We were minutes from Rhinebeck village, Kingston, and the many local attractions and parks along the valley. The listing photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. It has a large back yard and great pond to sit and watch the ducks. The kitchen was nicely equipped for good cooking. The property was clean and well maintained, I especially enjoyed that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The living area and whole house is quite spacious and fit our six adults perfectly. Our family had a wonderful week of local adventures and quiet time at the Inn. We even wandered south to the bridge walk across the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, great fun! One feature of the location is that it's minutes to seasonal farmers' markets and large grocery stores as needed. Hyde Park offers tasty and interesting restaurants along with lovely shops. There are many local cultural and art venues for which we didn't have time. We will surely visit Le Petit Château again and recommend this property to those who enjoy unique homes for family gatherings with a private setting and a location that makes daily excursions an easy drive. Next time we want to take the train, since the train station is minutes away. Le Petit Château is a perfect gathering place for family, friends and/or romance."
