  • Felt like home, but was LUXURIOUS!

"I went to the Barn to write for the weekend - and I can't remember the last time I accomplished so much work. The bed was divine! Towels, bathroom, convenience...all completely exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was superb for cooking meals, with everything (and more) that one needs to make a great meal. I would go back again in a heartbeat!!! I can't recommend it enough!! Thank you, thank you for your wonderful hospitality!"

  • Beautiful home, views, with comfortable decor

"Stayed here with my husband and daughter for a wedding close by and it was exactly as pictured...actually the basement has a great sectional that's so comfortable to hang out on after others are sleeping upstairs that's not even pictured! The owner was a delight to work with, providing awesome restaurant recommendations and even helping us to recover my daughter's favorite book that we left behind. Views are beautiful and was great to grill outside."

  • Great upstate getaway

"We have rented this lovely getaway home several times and really enjoyed our stay. Great for all seasons with activities nearby and around including skiing, hiking, sight seeing, national parks, swimming, historic adventures and more. We have young children who love the books, toys and games provided, as well as playing in the yard. It's great for nature adventures and a calming environment makes it a gem."

  • Wonderful home, wonderful owner!

"We had several families share this house for a total of 12 people. There was plenty of room and everyone loved the house. We had young children, teenagers and grandmothers in our group. We loved the lake and the pontoon boat was a treat. The kitchen is wonderful - and is better stocked than most rentals. We will rent this home again when in the area and I've shared the details with other friends who plan to visit. Tons of apple orchards nearby if you're visiting in the fall. Tara House is a great find. Thanks Kevin! P.S. - The best place to shop for groceries nearby is the Price Chopper in Warwick. Very clean newer store with a high end feel, deli, bakery and eatery. It's less than 20 minutes away and prices and selection better than the walmart 30 minutes away."
