"The lake chalet was a really nice experience with the beautiful wiew of lake and forest, exactly the right place where you can spend weekends and holidays with family or friends. Pretty quiet place and also not far from the city. We really enjoyed staying there, we went fishing on the lake and also we got some fish. It's amazing place and we hope to be there again."

  • Charming guest house

"We only stayed 1 night and wish we had more time to linger but we're sure we will be back. The property was very private & in a great location for our purposes. Sterrett was a very attentive hostess and we felt like we were staying at a friends' guest cottage. The property was very clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. We had a really enjoyable stay."

  • Perfect Anniversary Celebration!

"Just perfect for my husband and I to celebrate a quiet weekend alone! The house was clean and inviting! Very impressed by it being so well stocked. We bought charcoal and wood and found it there in the shed already, so we used that and were happy to leave ours behind for the next guests. We spent the first day grilling on the outside deck and later roasted s'mores in the fire pit! We drove into Saugerites and Woodstock which was a very short drive to both! The next day we spent at the Hudson Valley Wine and Food festival. We hurried home in the evening to catch the sunset on the back deck, and then we proceeded to end the night with appetizers and cocktails at the Lazy Swan right down the street. Drinking coffee on the deck and watching the horses next door was priceless in the way of peace and quiet. Bed was comfortable and we're early birds so we could appreciate the wake up call from the rooster next door! The owners were helpful and I would recommend this property and have already! Not to mention my husband and I will most definitely be returning."

  • The Barn!

"The Barn's uniqueness is absolutely worth the trip. We had an excellent time inside and outside of the barn, the large gable style doors really connect both atmospheres."
