  • The best hang out!

"My friends and I stayed at the house on Brown's Pond last weekend and had an immensely good time. If you're looking for a place with a relaxing atmosphere and nice views for a group to spend the weekend away from the rest of the world in, you can't go wrong with this one. The owner was friendly and made us right at home. Hopefully we can get back up there again soon!"

  • Perfect place to spend our summer

"We chose to rent this house because we live in NYC and it was a little more than an hour drive, door-to-door. The house was clean and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchens seemed to be new. We immediately fell in love with the incredible view of the lake that took us away from the stress of city life. The photos can't fully capture the beauty and serenity of this spot. We spent time swimming, hiking in the woods, kayaking, and taking some day trips to Beacon and Cold Spring. We would do it again in a heartbeat. The property owner was very helpful and kind and allowed us to install gates on the stairs for our toddler. Highly recommended!"

  • For a serene and beautiful escape from the City!

"Came here for a few days to enjoy the quiet surroundings and beauty of the surrounding area and was not disappointed. The house is lovely and well-equipped for comfort and cooking your own meals. Cute kitchen and comfy family room with skylights and lots of windows that allow you to enjoy the wooded view. Not far from Kent, CT and other small hamlets in NY state. Check out the nearby farmer's markets in summer! I rode my bicycle easily into Kent for breakfast one morning - lovely ride. Great perks: dog friendly if approved by owner; fireplace that owner allows you to use (as of this writing); baby grand piano (I enjoyed practicing while there); ample patio with well-maintained grill and wood stove for cool evenings outside. I must add that the owner is lovely and accommodating, with a warm sense of humor. She holds your comfort and satisfaction in high regard."
