  • A delightful experience

"Our stay in Avalon Cottage was truly delightful. It is a charming home and so comfortable. The Cottage is ideally located for day trips to explore areas of the Hudson River Valley and Western Massachusetts and so welcoming to us on our return "home". We enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, especially time on the back deck relaxing, reading and watching the wildlife. Our vacation was truly wonderful thanks in large part to feeling so at home in Avalon Cottage."

  • A gem on the river

"This house is like taking a high-end hotel suite from a Manhattan Boutique hotel and perching on top of a beautiful river. The house is decorated beautifully and the beds are HUGE and the most comfortable I have slept on in a long time. You look out the river and you think you are floating on the rover itself. It feels secluded yet it is only right down the road from the coolest town of Saugerties. I cannot wait to escape the city and visit again!"

  • Great Getaway

"Stayed here for a week in late fall and got the first snow of the season. The house is great and big enough for a lot of people, in a very quiet, secluded area very close to state parks for hiking and other outdoor activities. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked so you won't have to buy or bring too many "essentials" to cook. The fireplace is very nice in the cold weather and warms the entire main living area. Lots of puzzles and games for nights inside. Overall, a great place to stay as a country getaway from the city."

  • Great House!

"The house was very comfortable for the 7 of us. Very spacious on the inside and out. The house has a sort of open floor plan. The living room has a really relaxing atmosphere with comfortable couches and useful fire place. The wood burning sauna was a huge plus. The house is located near a small river that you can pleasantly hear from deck and a short downhill walk takes you to it. We look forward to coming back in the summer!"
