  • Beautiful home!

"Our family of four (including 2 kids - ages 9 & 7) just rented this house for a week in July 2014. 5 very nice bedrooms, plenty to accommodate us & our visitors throughout the week. The house was beautifully decorated & well stocked with essentials. Pool was great & backyard is beautiful. Quiet area, but just a few minute ride to Greenport with shopping, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. to stroll around & enjoy. Wineries within minutes. Owners were a pleasure to deal with, very responsive to all inquiries & very welcoming. Definitely not your "typical" rental home. We had never rented in the area before & were a little hesitant to pick a new spot, but we had a great week. Would definitely recommend it!"

  • Great place for families or small groups

"4 of us - 3 adults and one 5 year old kid - had a fabulous week here. The house is spacious, very clean and well kept. The kitchen has everything you'd ever need for cooking, baking and entertaining and the outside grill is great. Plenty of beach equipment too. The small private beach down the lane is a little small as the sand is being eroded, but the public beach is so close and it's large and mostly sandy, plus has climbing frame, picnic areas, showers, toilets and little concessions hut. If you or your kids are into fishing you can head to the entrance to the marina inlet just there and the kids are almost certain to catch something (which is the main thing). Once you get the Riverhead parking pass ($15) from the beach you can also head over to Iron Pier Beach on the Sound which is possibly even nicer. The outside shower at the house is great when you come back all sandy. BTW - Other fishing can be had over at Breakwater Beach, but make sure you park in the state parking and walk to the pier / down to the inlet to avoid tickets. (Riverhead parking pass doesn't cover this location.) Waldbaums is just under 4 miles away in Mattituck and there are plenty of other local stores and restaurants to keep you fed and watered. The wineries are super close so you could cycle if you didn't want to drive. The owners are really friendly and helpful, but leave you to yourselves if that's what you prefer. The area is really great and everyone so friendly. If the little area outside the back door with the BBQ and table joined up with the yard, which is on the side of the house, I wouldn't be able to fault this place."

  • Perfection!

"We had the most fabulous stay here for a long girls getaway weekend in May. The owner went out of her way to exceed all of our expectations. The house was immaculate. Well decorated. You can tell she loves her home - and we did too! Perfect for entertaining - plenty of seating for big groups. She should sell tickets to the master bathroom shower - the best water pressure ever! We lucked out with the weather and enjoyed an entire afternoon gabbing by the pool and enjoying some local wine. She was kind enough to leave some wine, dips and cheese in the fridge for us to enjoy after a long day of travel. She was easy to reach in case we had a question about the house and had great suggestions about where and what to do! Will definitely be back. The house is a quick (3 min or less) drive into town or about a 15 minute walk."

  • Great family vacation in the perfect spot.

"We were a large family group who made the trip over from the UK to stay in Laura & Richard's Hamptons Home. The house was just perfect for us and had all the amenities we could ask for, a home from home. Its ideally set out for kids, with all the toys and games to keep them occupied and the WIFI kept our teenager happy. We had a disabled member of our group and as there is a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor it was easily accessible. Its location is ideal and offers day trips to both Coopers Beach in Southampton and Long Beach Sag Harbour within easy reach, and as its set out of town you get the peace of the woods and a pool where you have privacy. I'd definitely recommend this spot for a Hamptons break."
