"We were a couple plus 25yr old daughter staying in NYC as sight-seers. We were all over Manhattan and this was a good central location. We had handy access to subway. We actually walked up from Penn Station on arrival and it was interesting to walk right thru Times Square to kick off the stay. We walked to Rockefeller Ctr (that's easy) and we even walked to the ESB.
The condo is very well equipped with almost anything you can think of in supplies - even some basic food items - and we left a couple of things behind ourselves. The main bed is comfortable and the addition of the pull-down shade is very helpful (one is needed in the LR for anyone sleeping on the sofa due to the bright and changing billboards. We did get some street noise, but once asleep I don't hear anything much myself. If you want to avoid street noise altogether, look for a higher floor.
Condo was quite clean and I will say again that bathroom and kitchen had anything you could want and more. There are some books on NY in the LR as well. TV has tons of channels in LR (more regular in BR). The building itself is very quiet - never heard a peep from neighbors. The lobby security team are all very friendly and accommodating. You will feel secure in this building.
It's NYC, so we expected some light and noise at night. We were never out too late as we were on the go all day long.
We went to the 8th St food festival, Central Park and Natural History Museum, High-Line Rail area, plus Village and a bit of Chelsea, ESB @ night, The Rock (Tour and Top of), Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge (partial), 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Wall St, Bryant Park and NY Library, The Met, and maybe more.
Chantale was always quite responsive before the trip via email or phone. Never needed her in NYC as she had all arrangements made with building security."

"Super clean apartment and the owner was very responsive. Easy to get to transportation for both cab and train. Tons of restaurants and bars nearby. The apartment is close to attractions but off the beaten path in a nice neighborhood. We loved the access to the balcony in the back. Main bed was totally comfortable. Shower had great pressure and quick hot water. Only complaint is that the hide a way couch bed was really uncomfortable; you could feel all the springs and bars under the mattress. We ended up putting the couch back together and just putting our 5 yr old to sleep on top of it. We had a wonderful stress free time.
This brownstone must have been really spectacular in its hey-day as the original crown molding and marble fireplace were just lovely."

"Great location in the heart of NYC, but well positioned away from traffic noise. Apartment is the perfect size for two people, well maintained, and tastefully minimally decorated to accommodate guests (i.e. free of the clutter and tchotchkes that are often an unfortunate feature of VRBO rentals). Arrangements re arrival and departure and payment were well managed and kindly accommodating. Unfortunately, there was noisy, malodorous redecorating going on in the hallway during our stay, which also may (or may not?) have been responsible for a "whistling wind" sound through the unit which kept us awake several nights. (No amount of widow opening & closing or a/c unit adjusting mitigated the sound.) But for this perhaps temporary noise condition, this would have been a 5 star accommodation."

"To cut to the chase: my wife described it best – she said it was “Perfect!”
Our host was there to meet us when we arrived, gave us a tour, and graciously helped get us quickly acclimated. The apartment was exactly as shown – spacious and very quiet. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great, and the Park Slope neighborhood was fascinating. We couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location; the subway was 5 minutes away (a 40 minute ride to Manhattan), with grocery stores and some good local restaurants within a short walk. Our 17-year old son enjoyed his nightly run in nearby Prospect Park. We would certainly stay there again, and have recommended it to our friends who are thinking of visiting New York."
