"This gem of an apartment was just the perfect setting for a 60th birthday celebration. Warm and cozy with a private garden and full size kitchen, with a comfortable futon and a comfortable bed my guests slept on. I had friends and family coming and going to share my special day, and they loved the ambience, and sitting in the garden, sipping wine. The owner was very gracious and helpful. I would recommend this rental to couples and small families, close to the Museum of Natural History and in a lovely, quiet neighborhood."

"Great location of typical NYC apartment. Very clean building, good size bedroom and living room with sofa. Great for small family. Don't expect big shower, as I said it is typical NYC apartment and toilet is separate (you can imagine that you are in Paris!). Liz is great and very helpful with any problems, she is always available. Highly recommended..."

"after a grueling drive from Montreal, we fell into that fabulous bed and slept like babies! Woke up and had a couple of delicious cappucinos (thanks for the coffee and milk), and were ready to take on one of the great cities of the world. Fabulous lunch in nearby Korea town, loved being mid-town with its easy access up to the Met or down to the Village. Even parked for nothing right in front of the apartment over the weekend! Appreciated being able to cook and the generously-shared condiments and spices. Really felt at home and didn't want to leave. Ah yes, the shower head: my husband said it was an IQ test (I failed) As I recall the button is hidden under the bathspout, no?"

"If Manhattan is not your thing and most certainly do not travel as I did from Jersey. Then, perhaps, this lovely little apartment may be perfect. Located in a heart of vibrant ethnic neighborhood, a stone's throw from JFK. This truly a nice little gem. I stayed here with my two small kids and I found everything that I needed was in the apartment. The owner ensured that I had a fully stocked larder because there is not a good supermarket very close to the apartment which was most helpful. Immaculately spotless and clean, with the owner there to provide every need. Made staying in New York a pleasure, about two blocks - although up a biggish hill (not San Francisco big) - from the Subway make this a prime location. Furthermore, cannot go wrong with its proximity to JFK.
However, rather far Manhattan and the nightlife that is there as Queens is considered a suburb of NYC proper. Quite a few good eateries are around the apartment but mainly Spanish in a predominantly South East Asian neighborhood. Streets were safe and quiet. Apartment sleeps 3 - two sharing a bed and one on a pull out sofa.
Many thanks to the host for providing such a wonderful apartment."
