  • Perfect East Hampton Escape

"We were a small group of adults and young children coming from the city during the beautiful late summer, early autumn. We felt so lucky to be able to stay at this lovely home for a long weekend in September after the start of the school year. The house and the grounds are very private, charming, warm and beautifully furnished. The heated pool was amazing. The owners were responsive and very hospitable and made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house is well-located; the fish market, wine store, coffee shop, italian deli & the LIRR all within a block or two of the house. I would highly recommend this house for a lovely & peaceful East Hampton retreat. We would love to stay here again."

  • Home base for grandaughter's wedding

"We had a lovely time in this very convenient home. Lois met us on arrival on Monday afternoon and returned the following Monday to wish us well on our return to California. Because the house is on several levels, it was a great choice for those who wished to rise early (we saw the swans out on the creek) and for those who wished to "sleep-in". The pool was wonderful and enjoyed by all. The creek was fun for tubing and paddle-boating. Part of our family stayed in this house and part of the extended family had another vrbo house a couple of miles away. One evening we had dinner for 24 out on deck and up by the pool, and there were dishes and silverware for all. Weather was lovely all week. The rehearsal dinner was at the Yacht club, the wedding was in garden at Sylvester Manor with dinner in a large "circus" tent in the meadow near Gardiner Creek, and the brunch on Sunday after the wedding was served from "Rolling in Dough" food truck (lots of fun with great pizza). My granddaughter was a beautiful bride and we all had a wonderful time. I would recommend this house for a big family gathering or for a small retreat time. We did not have time to read any of Leon Uris' books, but I had read several of them previously. The owners have very eclectic taste and some great posters. So glad I found this property."

Bridgehampton Travel Tips

Activities Near Bridgehampton Vacation Rentals

Every year in August/September, the Hampton Classic event occurs in Bridgehampton. This hunter and jumping horse show exhibits 1,500 horses and generally has nearly 40,000 spectators each year. Participants and spectators alike will enjoy the event even more because of comfortable accommodations offered by summer homes in Bridgehampton. Other attractions in the area include the Whaling Museum in Sag Harbor, featuring tales of area history and whaling exhibits, and the Montauk Point Lighthouse, nestled at the top of a hill and overlooking the eastern shore of the Long Island Bay area. There are also nearly 40 wineries and vineyards in the area of the Hamptons and Long Island, providing wine connoisseurs with an excellent grape-oriented experience.

Amenities of Summer Homes in Bridgehampton

Bridgehampton vacation rentals offer spectacular amenities that far surpass those available at a local hotel. If your family travels together and stays in a hotel, chances are you will need several rooms and they many not even be near each other. With house rentals in The Hamptons, you can all stay under the same roof since most of the cottages have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, not to mention a cozy living space, to accommodate several people comfortably. Additionally, most summer homes in Bridgehampton have fully-equipped private kitchens, which help save on dining expenses. Other possible amenities include hot tubs, private parking spaces and direct access to the ocean.
