Movie Star House
"I searched far and wide for a house to act as the centerpiece of a feature film I planned to shoot in the fall of 2014 called, "We Only Know So Much." The multigenerational family dramedy required a big beautiful house with lots of history but I soon found that most of the large homes on the East End have been renovated into a generic, aspirational, designer blandness. And then I found Matthew and Barbara's gem on Ocean Road. The house is dripping with timeless charm and beautiful historic detail. From the giant old apple tree on the sprawling grounds to the wide plank wood floors and sunny kitchen with the long white table, the place offered classic beauty everywhere the camera was pointed. If you want to experience the traditional Hamptons of the old guard, with a few necessary modern conveniences, just a few hundred yards from the ocean, this is where you want to be. You can see for yourself when the movie is released in 2015."

"We just returned from our stay in Bridgehampton. This house was the perfect rental for us because we were vacationing with our 5 month old and his grandparents. We made so many outstanding family memories. The owner of the property made staying here such a relaxing treat! Everything you need to make meals, swim in the tranquil pool, and hit the beach is provided. I went for a nice bike ride every morning with the bikes provided-it was a great way to explore the area. The grounds and interior are immaculate (very important to us because of our baby). We felt right at home! We walked into town for coffee, dinner, and shopping. The antique design of the house shines with all the modern amenities. Beds were comfy and the layout of the house works well. Clearly the owner takes pride in the property. He even gave us tips on traveling to and from the house. I would not hesitate to rent this home again and recommend it to friends and family."

"The house is very nicely situated, between beach and Sag Harbor. It was very convenient for the start of the Bridgehampton Half Marathon. It is set back enough from the road so it's quiet. The pool is lovely and has sun all day long. The rooms are very comfortable, there is air conditioning, cable, wifi, bbq, nice deck for outdoor eating and lounging by the pool. Owner is more than willing to accomodate with anything that might be lacking, which is really very little. I would not only recommend it, but would look forward to staying there again."

"My husband, baby and I had a great stay at this charming and spacious 3 bedroom Bridgehampton home! Great location, super clean and convenient in every way. the home comes fully stocked with all the staples you could need (towels, sheets, bikes, condiments, laundry detergent, pool floats, you name it!)
Maureen, the owner, is a pleasure- very kind and super helpful.
The pool is very big, gets sun all day long and is right off the kitchen (very convenient!). The house is on a ton of land so its great for running around, playing soccer/ football etc…perfect for kids (and adults) who want to hang out and enjoy the outdoors.
We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home to our friends!"
