Magical Montauk Home!
"We spent the month of July in this beautiful, historic Montauk home with two couples. Montauk is a very special place, and our trip was absolutely perfect because we were lucky enough to call this house home for the month. The owners are lovely and were so great to work with, they left the house with every possible thing you would for an amazing beach getaway. You feel like a true Montauk local staying in this house, its historic and beautifully decorated as the perfect summer beach home. The kitchen is newly renovated so we spent nights in cooking dinner and grilling and the yard is perfect for entertaining with comfortable outdoor furniture. They had a number of bikes that we rode to the beach or to town. All the rooms have built in fans which are perfect to stay cool on a summer night. The neighbors were all really nice and the back yard is absolutely beautiful at sunset. Its a two minute walk from Sole East hotel which has tons of beach beds, a gorgeous pool and fantastic food. The hotel pool is open to non - guests every day but Saturday so it is like your own personal beach club! We had such a wonderful special month while we called this home!"

"This house is exactly as described in the listing description, if not better. It is spacious, clean, beautifully maintained, and light-filled - ideal for outdoor grilling, lazy afternoons by the pool, group dinners and cozy times. The location is ideal - very close to the beach and town, but surrounded by trees which provides a nice private, secluded feel. Peter and Susan were fantastic hosts and made the entire experience very easy, answering questions quickly and providing great recommendations for restaurants and beaches to visit, and more. Overall we had a brilliant experience and will definitely return!"

"Over the course of our 7-day stay in a two-bedroom apartment at Kenny's Tipperary Inn, we experienced service that made us feel like family. Jamie did everything to make our stay feel as relaxing as we hoped it would be. Owner, Ed Kenny was on premise and continued to make any effort to make our stay a real pleasure. The full-size kitchen made it very easy to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner and there was plenty of room to accommodate everyone in our family.
We will be coming back!!!"

Beautiful Bungalow with a Scenic View and Convenient Location
"I stayed here for a week in August 2015. I wasn't expecting a very, very nice and very clean bungalow with a beautiful view of the ocean. I thought all beach houses are dark and damp and reek of mildews. This one is the polar opposite. It's situated at the end of a gravel road off the Old Montauk Highway, about 100 meters up a gentle slope. So it's in a dry and semi-secluded spot. The bungalow is converted from the back of a large house with its own entrance, basement, outdoor patio and shower. It's a two bedroom with a full kitchen, bathroom and living room. The windows in the living room and the master bedroom open out to the ocean just 200 meters below. It was fantastic. I thought the house was too big.
The house was very, very clean. Ample towels and liens were provided. I didn't use the kitchen at all. But if you like to cook, the kitchen is fully stocked. I couldn't find any faults with the house. Maybe it was too quite at night, being at the end of a gravel road. I'm used to the city.
One could just walk across the road to the beach. The owners provided beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach accoutrements in the basement. So just bring your body and soul and enjoy.
I initially drove to the village center on the first few days. But it turned out that the house was just a 15-20 minutes' walk to the very center of Montauk. So I walked for the rest of the week. It's very safe walk to and back from the village at night. Just be sure to bring a flashlight or use your iPhone as the gravel road leading to the house was unlit and there were deers and rabbits dancing around in the dark.
I highly recommend this house."
