  • Second stay as good as the first

"Second time renting this house. Last time without any kids, this time with two... Our winery tour from a few years ago turned into a pumpkin patch and a farm visit but was just as special. The bay was still spectacular and the kayaks got a great workout. A few nights stay on a private bay for under $1000 cannot be beat. Looking forward to coming back again soon."

  • perfect beach house

"This beach house has all the amenities to make it comfortable, but it also feels like a real beach house. We kept the windows open every night to fall asleep to the sounds of the surf. The kitchen is very well-equipped. There's an awesome whole-house sound system, a wrap around deck with a large table on the back deck for dining, an outside shower, an ice maker in the shed, and the beds were all very comfortable. The owner is extremely nice and was always available to answer questions. If you're a surfer, the best surfing spot is right across the road! Good restaurants are minutes away, either in the town or at the harbor, but the house is in a very quiet area, rather off the beaten path. It's a great place to stay in Montauk, and if we return to the area it's where we will stay."

  • 5 Star House in the Hamptons

"Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, close to everything and we walked to East Grill and a Nick and Tony's, two of the best restaurants in East Hampton. It's really hard to beat the outdoor area - perfect pool which can be heated, outdoor shower, beautiful gardens, custom table and bench, and secure parking behind a gate. We loved hanging outside!!! The house inside is beautifully decorated and felt like home. We really had everything we needed - it was perfect!!! The owner is available for anything you need and you can tell that there is much thought and care put into the property. We typically stay in luxury hotels on vacation and this property was fabulous! Having the best shopping and restaurants a minute away was a huge bonus! We can't wait to return!!!"

  • Love, love, love Love Lane Getaway

"My husband and I just came home from a three night weekend with our daughter, son, daughter-in-law and 18 month old granddaughter. We had owned a house on the water in Southold when the kids were little and always enjoyed the area. The interior of the house is even prettier than pictured. The rooms and bathrooms were so CLEAN. They literally were sparkling. This listing doesn't show pictures of the bathrooms so I was a little worried. The bathrooms far exceeded our hopes. My daughter used the ground floor twin bedded room and the first floor bathroom. The tub in that room was perfect for the baby and we loved the hand held shower to wash her hair. Had it been warmer we all would have used the outdoor shower on the porch. The master bedroom was huge and had a TV, large walk in closet and a very large master bath. The towels and linens were good quality. My son and daughter-in-law used the double bedded room and put the baby's pack-n-play in the queen bedded room because it had shades on the windows. They had their own large bathroom right next to both of those rooms. All the rooms and bathrooms were so clean that I felt comfortable in bare feet all weekend. We loved the large kitchen/dining room and although we didn't really cook (besides breakfast), it was a great gathering space to eat our take-out food. Love Lane was a perfect place to purchase sandwiches and meals. It's difficult to eat in a restaurant with an active 18 month old so we found food trucks and other outdoor venues for our meals and our granddaughter had the freedom to play on the grass. Love Lane is walkable from the house. We also found a playground in Mattituck and on the beach in Orient State Park. It was pumpkin picking time and we found plenty to keep us occupied. My daughter had to leave for work early on Monday morning and she took the jitney into the city and was there in about 2 hours. As I said....We all LOVED it!"
