Beautifully maintained home - A pleasurable escape from the City
"I recently stayed with my girlfriends for a weekend reunion and wine tasting in the North Fork. We were so incredibly pleased when we arrived. The house is beautifully maintained and decorated. It has a fabulous lawn area, great deck and outdoor seating, and truly stunning views of the LI Sound. There was also private beach access to a pebbly, but swim-able beach. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend including plenty of kitchen ware and cooking/serving pieces, glassware, two grills, beach chairs, beach towels, linens, lawn games, outdoor shower, etc. They had a lovely screened-in porch where we ate breakfast and dinner. The bedding in each room was of a high quality and the towels were plentiful. They also had a washer dryer, which we did not use, but was nice to know was available.
The owner was lovely to deal with and very responsive. Their property manager lives nearby and was also great. It was nice to know she was local and accessible if there were any problems (of which there were none!).
The town of East Marion is a quiet farm town/fishing village. Greenport, which is >10 minutes away is more built up and has everything you need. Overall there is so much to do in the area and we enjoyed visiting the local vineyards, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, and restaurants like Little Creek Oyster Farm. Fork and Anchor, located >1 mi from the house is a great deli/prepared foods spot and has some grocery items as well. The Orient Point Ferry is also >10 minutes away and provides easy access for those coming from New England. I would highly recommend this property. We can't wait to return!"

"This was our first time renting a home and our experience was wonderful! The owners, Cathy and Bill were so friendly, professional, and so invested in providing a very pleasant stay for their renters. Cathy made herself available and was very easy to reach via phone or text if you had any questions. The home was beautiful and very well cared for and you can see the love for her home the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and so well stocked, with almost everything you could possibly need. I felt we had the best of both worlds with the house being on a beautiful lake and the bay just a short walk down the road. Orient Point State park was beautiful and only a 10 min drive. We canoed on the lake almost everyday and my husband and I sat out on the floating dock every morning having our cup of joe, taking in the sunrise, scenery and wildlife. Everyone enjoyed taking the kayaks to the bay and riding the bikes along Main Road which has spectacular views of the sound and bay. The kitchen was well stocked for you to cook, which we took advantage of some nights, and other nights we went out to some of the wonderful restaurants in Greenport. The guys went on a party boat off the pier in Greenport and caught some porgies, which we enjoyed grilling back at the house.
Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation and conducive to spending plenty of quality time together as a family. We loved it so much we want to come back again next year! Thanks Cathy and Bill for providing such a gem of a vacation rental!!!"

"We spent a wonderful week at this house! It's beautifully renovated, the kitchen is so well stocked (I've never rented a house that was so well-appointed!), and we had plenty of linens and towels. Plus, the house was immaculate when we checked in, and it quickly became clear that the property is very well-maintained. The owner was responsive and pleasant to deal with, too -- I've never rented through vrbo.com before, so I'm very glad that this experience was so positive!
I really like the location, as it's within walking distance to a small park, gourmet deli, the lavender farm, and a nice farm stand (and a short drive into town and to many other places of interest). But really, you don't even have to leave the property, because the house, yard, and pool are so nice! And it's not pictured, but there's a neat converted garage/pool house leading out to the pool deck -- what a great surprise that was!
Thanks again for a great week. I would happily rent this property again!"

"A group of girls and I stayed here from Friday to Sunday morning in the middle of June 2015. It was a beautiful home and Al, the homeowner, is a wonderful and extremely accessible host. He also owns a limo company, which can take renters out to vineyards and breweries. The home itself was incredibly spacious and home-y, with two grills in the back deck and an enormous backyard. The beach is located just a ten minute walk from the house; however, be aware that those living in the condos are not very friendly (at least not to us). Even though it rained throughout the weekend, the house was comfortable enough for a group of 12 girls to just chill and relax, play board games and watch movies. I am sure that if it wasn't raining, the surrounding area, vineyards, breweries and orient state park would have been amazing to visit and explore. I would definitely rent from Al again. He is the best!"
