"It is hard to find a vacation spot that everyone can agree on, let alone love. But our vacation at Cathy and Bills hit the sweet spot. There was the bay and Long Island Sound for the swimmers, bird watching for the nature lovers, antiquing for the artists and fresh farm stands for the foodies. Best of all was that Cathy and Bills house was so comfortable I was able to bring my baby for his first family vacation! From the hammock, the kayaks, canoe, bikes..we enjoyed it all. The location was perfect.

"What a beautiful home! Our owner, Tommy, thought of everything. What a great person to work with. The house sleeps 8+ comfortably. The landscaping was beautiful. House was big and well maintained. Close to Greenpoint and Orient. It was a great base of "operations". My friends and I couldn't have been happier with our stay here. Would be my first choice my next time on the North Fork!"

"I stayed here with a group of girlfriends for a great weekend. The house was perfect for us - very spacious. We spent Friday on the beach right by the house. Al, the owner, owns a limo company that took us to three wineries on Saturday. It was a wonderful experience - beautiful wineries and great wine. Al was very helpful throughout the whole process and recommended some great places to eat and visit while we were there. We had a great time!"

Beautifully maintained home - A pleasurable escape from the City
"I recently stayed with my girlfriends for a weekend reunion and wine tasting in the North Fork. We were so incredibly pleased when we arrived. The house is beautifully maintained and decorated. It has a fabulous lawn area, great deck and outdoor seating, and truly stunning views of the LI Sound. There was also private beach access to a pebbly, but swim-able beach. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend including plenty of kitchen ware and cooking/serving pieces, glassware, two grills, beach chairs, beach towels, linens, lawn games, outdoor shower, etc. They had a lovely screened-in porch where we ate breakfast and dinner. The bedding in each room was of a high quality and the towels were plentiful. They also had a washer dryer, which we did not use, but was nice to know was available.
The owner was lovely to deal with and very responsive. Their property manager lives nearby and was also great. It was nice to know she was local and accessible if there were any problems (of which there were none!).
The town of East Marion is a quiet farm town/fishing village. Greenport, which is >10 minutes away is more built up and has everything you need. Overall there is so much to do in the area and we enjoyed visiting the local vineyards, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, and restaurants like Little Creek Oyster Farm. Fork and Anchor, located >1 mi from the house is a great deli/prepared foods spot and has some grocery items as well. The Orient Point Ferry is also >10 minutes away and provides easy access for those coming from New England. I would highly recommend this property. We can't wait to return!"
