  • Fantastic accommdation with wonderful and very helpful hosts

"The apartment is immaculate, spacious and exactly as described. It’s walking distance to the beach and within a very reasonable driving distance to many of the attractions on Long Island. The hosts, Manny and Amal, are a delight and very welcoming. Not only did we find homemade cookies and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, but we also had a few homemade meals prepared by Amal. We felt right at home, and we would highly recommend staying here. Manny and Amal, thank you so much for your hospitality. We had a fantastic time, and are really enjoying the zaatar, cookies and tomatoes you gave us."

  • Perfect getaway for parents and a toddler

"Our experience at Joy's house was everything the profile on this website promises. Her adorable, well-kept cottage was the perfect home base for a fun 3day weekend with a toddler. We picked pumpkins, played on the beach (and at the playground on the beach), went to wineries where she could run around, took bike rides through gorgeous fields of grapes...when it rained, we went to the wonderful aquarium... it was perfect. And after our daughter was in bed, my husband and I had a blast hanging out by the fire pit in the back yard. Joy went above and beyond offering customized recommendations for us. We couldn't be more pleased. Obviously, I highly recommend it!"

  • Lovely Home on the Water

"This is a great house for a family or a couple. Not for little kids, given the proximity and easy access to the dock and water. Close to Mattituck (an easy mile on a bike) and a beautiful ride to the New Suffolk beach, so the location is good. The beds are comfy, the house was very clean, and the view is great. We kayaked, barbecued, and lounged around when we weren't at the beach. If i were to change one thing it would be to put in a deck. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. Owner is very helpful and accommodating."

  • Love, love, love Love Lane Getaway

"My husband and I just came home from a three night weekend with our daughter, son, daughter-in-law and 18 month old granddaughter. We had owned a house on the water in Southold when the kids were little and always enjoyed the area. The interior of the house is even prettier than pictured. The rooms and bathrooms were so CLEAN. They literally were sparkling. This listing doesn't show pictures of the bathrooms so I was a little worried. The bathrooms far exceeded our hopes. My daughter used the ground floor twin bedded room and the first floor bathroom. The tub in that room was perfect for the baby and we loved the hand held shower to wash her hair. Had it been warmer we all would have used the outdoor shower on the porch. The master bedroom was huge and had a TV, large walk in closet and a very large master bath. The towels and linens were good quality. My son and daughter-in-law used the double bedded room and put the baby's pack-n-play in the queen bedded room because it had shades on the windows. They had their own large bathroom right next to both of those rooms. All the rooms and bathrooms were so clean that I felt comfortable in bare feet all weekend. We loved the large kitchen/dining room and although we didn't really cook (besides breakfast), it was a great gathering space to eat our take-out food. Love Lane was a perfect place to purchase sandwiches and meals. It's difficult to eat in a restaurant with an active 18 month old so we found food trucks and other outdoor venues for our meals and our granddaughter had the freedom to play on the grass. Love Lane is walkable from the house. We also found a playground in Mattituck and on the beach in Orient State Park. It was pumpkin picking time and we found plenty to keep us occupied. My daughter had to leave for work early on Monday morning and she took the jitney into the city and was there in about 2 hours. As I said....We all LOVED it!"
