  • Wonderful weekend getaway!

"This was our third stay at this beautiful waterfront condo. Columbus Day weekend was busy on the North Fork, but it was very quiet and peaceful at Cleaves Point. We were totally relaxed. The views were spectacular and we even watched the sunrise while standing on the balcony one morning. It was a beautiful weekend escape and we are looking forward to returning again. The owners are lovely, welcoming people who always make your stay comfortable. We highly recommend this immaculate condo!"

  • Great place for families or small groups

"4 of us - 3 adults and one 5 year old kid - had a fabulous week here. The house is spacious, very clean and well kept. The kitchen has everything you'd ever need for cooking, baking and entertaining and the outside grill is great. Plenty of beach equipment too. The small private beach down the lane is a little small as the sand is being eroded, but the public beach is so close and it's large and mostly sandy, plus has climbing frame, picnic areas, showers, toilets and little concessions hut. If you or your kids are into fishing you can head to the entrance to the marina inlet just there and the kids are almost certain to catch something (which is the main thing). Once you get the Riverhead parking pass ($15) from the beach you can also head over to Iron Pier Beach on the Sound which is possibly even nicer. The outside shower at the house is great when you come back all sandy. BTW - Other fishing can be had over at Breakwater Beach, but make sure you park in the state parking and walk to the pier / down to the inlet to avoid tickets. (Riverhead parking pass doesn't cover this location.) Waldbaums is just under 4 miles away in Mattituck and there are plenty of other local stores and restaurants to keep you fed and watered. The wineries are super close so you could cycle if you didn't want to drive. The owners are really friendly and helpful, but leave you to yourselves if that's what you prefer. The area is really great and everyone so friendly. If the little area outside the back door with the BBQ and table joined up with the yard, which is on the side of the house, I wouldn't be able to fault this place."

  • Great stay!

"The house was in great shape and super clean. We loved the back deck and it felt super private. It was a really quiet hood and we felt really at home right away. We didn't think we were going to even use the game room, but it actually turned out to be a really fun bonus. I would definitely come back for another beach trip. The beach was walkable, but there weren't sidewalks, so kids might have a tough time going alone. The beach was super chill and pretty. We didn't find any blankets in the house, we didn't need any, but if you think you'd need any you may want to bring."

  • Private Cozy Retreat

"Please read and confirm your review for Property #318061 below. Best Wishes, Reviews Team VRBO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review #9165460 “Charming, Cozy and Close to Everything!” We felt like we were staying in a relative's beach house. So many homey touches in every room. Pam went the extra mile in answering all our questions before we arrived. She met us promptly to show us the ins and outs of the apartment upon our arrival. We were also fortunate to meet Victoria, who owns the house, but lives in Italy. She is very gracious! We were in Greenport for a wedding and the location was around the corner from where everyone else was staying. We felt very fortunate to be so close to the town, but not directly in it. Very peaceful! A beach is just a short walk down the street and like a little secret getaway. We peacefully watched a schooner sail by and then about 2 dozen little sail boats in a race. We can't wait to have another opportunity to go back. If possible - early this fall. We went to Greenport/North Fork for a wonderful wedding at a Vineyard, but we can't wait to explore more of the area. Our time was too short to shop & explore - but we did find some great restaurants, had one wine tour which included sitting and listening to live music playing some of our favorites - James Taylor, Jethro Tull, etc. We also found a wonderful beach - rivaling any we have seen. Sorry - not giving up that location in this review! We recommend the apartment and the area highly!"
