"The house and the grounds were impeccably clean! Our whole family spent the week here and never left! We are all cooks, so we enjoyed the well equipped kitchen along with the outdoor grill. We celebrated the week as our parents renewed their wedding vows here after 37 years of marriage.
Lots of wonderful memories and can't wait to do it again next year. Wouldn't think of looking for a different house!!"

"This house is a rare gem in Montauk. It's modern but also has all the charm you would want from a great summer beach house. I have rented here for several years and I love it. The house has three bedrooms but also two living areas with a dual face fireplace and an amazing open kitchen that is perfect for cooking with friends and family. The best part in my opinion is that the house is perfectly located...it is in walking distance to the all the harbor shops, restaurants and beaches so there is no need for a car. Lastly, the owners are a great local couple who can help you set up anything you may need during your stay."

"We were two couples with a 7 month old and 2 year old and this house was the perfect size. It is about 200 yards away from the entrance to a private beach where you can leave your chairs and umbrella (not valuables because the beach is still adjacent to public beach) all day and come back and forth as much as you like for lunch, the bathroom or just to cool off. Long Island beaches are some of the nicest in the world. The house is perfect for babies and toddlers and much to our surprise, there were more toys in the house for our kids to play with than I think they even have at home. Recently renovated it is really nice. Although adjacent to main road, they have protected it from street with high buses and you hear absolutely no noise. Lido park is a 10 minute walk away by road or beach and they have a huge playground and wading pool for the kids, as well as all the regular sports courts. Save yourself the extra 2 hrs of driving to the end of Long Island and stay at this house. Owners Beverly and Bob were staying in adjacent house and were extremely friendly and while we had absolutely no issues, they were great at asking us every time we met coming and going outside if everything was good. I can't wait to stay here again."

"I had never been to Fire Island, and this past Memorial Day my group of 8 close friends decided to make the trip. We lucked out and found this house on Bayberry – the house was perfect, everything was spotless when we arrived. The bedrooms were a little small, but since the beds were bunked we had no problems (and who wants to stay inside during the summer anyway). We BBQed on the back porch, spent most of the time on the beach (which is literally a 5 minute walk) and enjoyed the Ocean Beach shops and restaurants (a 2 minute walk). The renovations, stainless steel appliances and living room are beautiful – felt like home! Everyone’s favorite thing was the outdoor shower – hot water and good pressure (better than my New York City apartment shower)… It was also great to have a washer and dryer on premise. The owner was super nice and friendly – available to answer any questions we had. Everyone in my party had such a wonderful time; we are already looking to book our next trip back to the island. 'Son of Old Paint' will always be our first choice of accommodation!"
