  • Go West, Young Man (and Everyone Else)

"The apartment is even better than the pictures show. Someone did a quality renovation: new walls and ceilings, crown moldings, solid wood doors. etched glass. There is no street noise and the other residents are quiet. The apartment is immaculate. It is the second floor rear apartment of a beautiful brownstone, which has hallways lined with intact wood paneling. There is a steepish stair to negotiate with luggage, but even with a bad arm I didn't have any serious problem. The neighborhood is perfect. A block to Central Park, Two blocks to the subway, a fifteen minute stroll to Lincoln Center, restaurants galore, supermarkets, gourmet carry-outs, dry cleaners, etc. All in all, the perfect pied-a-terre for a New York visit."

  • Best Value in NYC

"I almost hate to write this review and let others know about this place because it might not be available for our next trip, but..... The location is ideal, everything is within walking distance, Chelsea Market, the Highline, SoHo and the Lower East Side. The best restaurants are blocks away. The shopping is fabulous right around the corner. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable, up to date and quiet. The manager was quick to respond to our questions and gave us great recommendations for groceries and restaurants. We've stayed all over the city and have found the best value and location with this apartment."

  • Great location, apartment as advertized!

"Myself and my friend booked this apartment for just under 2 weeks. It was exactly what we needed in an awesome location- close to the Flatiron, within quick walking distance of 2 subway lines. Yes, the decor was a bit tired, but for the rate, it's extremely reasonable and very comfortable, which is the main thing! All beds were comfortable, although the mattresses on the beds in the loft are covered in plastic. I understand this must be to protect them however in summer, it does make them a little hot. A cheap purchase of a small fan did sort this issue out and I got on with it. There was plenty of information on local conveniences on the fridge as well as a couple of guidebooks in the room. The wifi was also fantastic and reliable. Winston was helpful holding luggage for my friend before check in time as well as holding them for her on her departure. If you're looking for a central location for a decent price and aren't expecting the Ritz, then this apartment is perfect."

  • Huge, convenient, private, easy...

"This is a very large apartment, and it is very well maintained. You have all the space you want and no crumbling decay to deal with. The bedrooms are both enormous, and the MB ensuite is equally giant. We found this apartment to be extremely well located. A fifteen minute walk from Madison Park, and a 2 minute walk from the subway (6 line). We didn't shop for food and do any cooking, but there was a D'Agostino and a couple other places nearby that would work--although, you'd be better off at the Union Sq. Whole Foods. Check-in was fast and easy. Check-out was even faster and easier--we just left! Noise...The master bedroom was quiet for NYC and what we expected. The front bedroom was noisy from traffic on Lex. Our kids didn't seem to notice though. It wasn't any different than you'd find in any other similarly positioned apt. in NY... We've stayed in dozens of rental properties and this one is definitely one of the few worth returning to... As an added bonus: We left a retainer behind and it was quickly found by the cleaning staff and mailed to us immediately."
