Beautiful Ditmas Park Home - As advertised
"Our family of 8 were priviledged to vacation in this Ditmas Park, Brooklyn home during the first week of July, 2014. We were happy that the home was exactly as advertised. Daria was very helpful by providing information before our visit and when we arrived, there was written information about the home and surrounding places and things to do. With four generations of family in attendance, the home was perfect for us. The home occupied the 2nd and 3rd floors. Even though my mother is 80 years old, she was able to navigate the stairs. The younger ones stayed on the 3rd floor. The home was clean and we felt very comfortable.
For any considering this property, it is located in a very good area that is within walking distance to public transportation. It was about a 40 minute train ride to Penn Station. We also walked to restaurants of which my favorites were the Oxcart Tavern that had a wonderful lamb lasagna and Milk and Honey where Mom and I had breakfast during our stay.
My grandson enjoyed the children's playground in the backyard and made new friends with the neighbors. All in all, the house and location was a win-win. I would highly recommend to anyone considering staying in Brooklyn.
Thank you Daria and Doug."

"Every time we have visited New York City in the past decade it has gone without question that we stay in Manhattan: we have rented apartments from the East Village to midtown. They all had one benefit – a handy location – and each also had its own selection of drawbacks: dirty, crammed with the owner’s unloved and unlovable belongings, uncomfortable and/or too tiny to swing a cockroach, let alone a cat.
For our May-June 2015 trip, our search for a Manhattan apartment was complicated by needing beds for five people rather than our usual two. Everything remotely possible that turned up in searches was also horribly cramped and ridiculously expensive. We reluctantly expanded the search to Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx – and stumbled across these apartments in Long Island City.
They turned out to be the best New York place we have ever stayed in, in terms of both the location and the apartments themselves.
They are not in Manhattan, but they are so close it makes no difference. You get amazingly wonderful views of that famous skyline from the banks of the East River, just a five-minute stroll if you take a left at the front door. A mere minute or so in the other direction takes you to a subway station from which the reliable 7 train will carry you to Grand Central Station in three or four minutes.
The neighbourhood is relaxed and feels very safe. Most of the people you see around are young couples with a kid or three in tow. They aren’t tourists; they live here. And much as you might love the great pulse of humanity that is so much a part of NYC, it’s kind of nice to pop up from the subway at the end of a hectic day to a place where there’s room on the streets. Despite the relative quiet, the area has a go-ahead hum and in three weeks we by no means exhausted the offerings of the bars, cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.
The apartments (we had two, White and Orange) are thoughtfully and comfortably set up. Without being vast, they feel airy and open. The practicalities are well taken care of and the owners have brought an artistic sensibility to everything that means they are also just very pleasant places to be. Even the stairwell is a mini art gallery. They are really good value.
And Manhattan? Well, it’s still a great place to visit … or just say the word at the charming new Station Bar on Jackson Avenue and they’ll mix you a pretty neat one."

"I truly LOVED staying here!! Everything about the apartment is amazing!! The building is massive and the lobby makes it feel like your staying in a hotel. the apartment itself is beautiful with amazing views. but what made me love my stay most of all was Dr.Leslie. He was always there if I had any problems and worked with me during my check in when my flight was delayed by 4 hours. He made everything very easy and smooth. This was the first time I used Vrbo and because of him I’ll continue using it!!"
