  • Awesome apartment in great neighbourhood

"Stayed here for 4 nights with husband and 2 kids. Kids had the blow-up bed, which was fine for them. The double bed in the bedroom was comfortable, but would have preferred a queen size bed. This main level apartment is quite spacious, well stocked, clean and includes use of a small patio at the front. The neighbourhood is vibrant and friendly, with a great blend of residential, commerical and recreational. The subway is around the corner. Check out the Bedford subway stop (bedford Ave) for the nightlife! I highly recommend this apartment. You will find the landlord, Sean, to be very kind and as a resident of the neighbourhood, very knowledgeable about Brooklyn and Manhattan."

  • Location, location, location

"This is a wonderful place to stay! The peace and quiet of tree-lined streets and friendly neighborhood are a welcome after a busy day exploring Manhattan. Both of the studio apartments are comfortable and clean and have the basic essentials for your home away from home. The subway is close by and there are so many good restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed The Iron Chef and Le Pain Quotidien (also the ice cream truck that stays parked at the promenade). Be sure to catch the sunset while sitting or walking on the promenade. The owner and his staff are friendly and helpful."

  • This is it!

"I must have looked at hundreds of VRBO listings. I was looking for: Quiet and Safe Neighborhood Near the subway Easy to get to Manhattan Two bedrooms After looking at quite a few listings, I added: No unusual room arrangements [some other listings said the occupants of one bedroom had to go through the other bedroom to get to the bathroom; or go through one of the bedrooms to get to the kitchen] And this apartment was exactly what I was looking for. It is just as described--clean, roomy, conveniently located. You enter into the kitchen; on your right is quite a large living room doing service as a bedroom. On the left is a hall with a closet and bathroom, leading to the second bedroom. Despite the subway being nice and close [I timed it--60 seconds from the front door to the entrance to the subway], the apartment is quite quiet. Once in a while, if you listen for it, you hear the rumble of the subway. There is no sustained traffic noise. So we could jump on the subway to explore, and return to a quiet apartment afterwards. The neighborhood has tons of options regarding food, including several grocery stores. Many times we would bring take out home for a relaxed dinner. We felt no anxiety walking around the neighborhood at night; plenty of people were about. All in all, it was a terrific experience. We will certainly return when we come back to NYC!"
