  • Great apartment, great location, great service!!!

"I really don't have much to add to the other reviews that have already been posted. I would agree with those 5 star reviews 100%. Having lived in NYC for 5 years I can definitely say that this was a top tier apartment in a top tier location. The pictures are 100% accurate, but really do not properly communicate just how much space this apartment offers. The bedrooms are a great side, but the studio space in the back of the apartment is really big and spacious. The living room, dining room, kitchen area is also very spacious and feels even more so by the high ceilings throughout the apartment. Christine was very helpful in giving a few recommendations of restaurants in the neighborhood and in getting us settled into the apartment. We ate at the Burger Joint down the street, and at Otto where I ordered the best ravioli I have ever had. All in all, I believe that this apartment offers an extremely good value in NYC if you need more than 1 bedroom. Even if you don't need more than 1 bedroom it would still be a great place to stay because of its location and the high quality of the apartment. I look forward to the next trip where we can rent the apartment again!"

  • As Advertised

"This apartment is exactly as advertised. Very roomy, nicely decorated, ample space for the six of us ladies who spent five nights here in September. It's close to the subway (which we didn't use, but bought bus Metro cards there), right on the crosstown bus line and easy to hail a yellow cab. There is a Whole Foods store one block away and some awesome restaurants (don't miss Le Colonial down the street) in the area. Diane was most helpful with any questions we had and even arranged for airport pickup for us. I did not give it an "excellent" because the apartment wasn't totally cleaned when we checked in. However, when I notified Diane, she immediately sent over her cleaning staff to handle it. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to my friends traveling to NYC."

  • Excellent location- close to subway, restaurants and Central Park!

"Great studio apartment. Well presented- clean and tidy. Had a small issue with the water heater- owner solved it immediately. Definitely only for 2 people but apartment size was okay. Although we didn't cook, you have enough utensils etc to get by. What we loved about this place was it's location. For Upper West 68-75th streets junkies, this fitted our requirements perfectly. 72nd Subway across the road. Cental Park 5 mins walk. Our favourite restaurants and bars all very close. Only down side to this apartment was a very noisy aircon. Luckily for us we were experiencing a mild New York summer and didn't need to sleep with it on :-)"

  • High quality apartment & rental experience

"We’re from Portland, OR and appreciate good value, historic, well appointed, art inspired, non-pretentious living with city views close to chef driven farm to table dining, neighborhood bars, local culture, and open space. We stayed at Mario’s Apartment in early December 2012. The apartment located in a massive well-kept historic building with doorman, three blocks to the subway, in the same neighborhood with great dining like the cozy Red Cat and the lively Cook Shop, neighborhood bars like the arrogant Half King and the unique Txikito, dozens of art galleries, and the High Line. It is a short walk to the Village. Mario was very courteous and prompt, responding to emails within hours. Rental arrangement and payment were very reasonable, clear, and effortless. Refund of deposit was returned on time. The apartment itself is in an elevator building with views through oversized windows of Chelsea and the sunset to the West. It is a nice size for a couple, the walls sport some nice art work, the furnishing are simple and elegant, the queen bed is comfortable and is offset from the main room, the kitchen is separated and is updated with good equipment for cooking-in, the bathroom is sizeable with ample water pressure and hot water, and steam heat and a Window AC unit provide heating and cooling. Street noise is relatively mild and the neighbors were unheard. The apartment was well equipped with linens except there were no bathroom hand towels or wash cloths. The rental experience and Mario’s apartment were of high quality."
