"Our family of five stayed in this duplex in July of 2013. The weather outside was hot as blazes, but the apartment was nice and cold when we arrived. The AC units were great -- so effective that we only used two of the four AC units. The downstairs had two bedrooms which we used for our three kids. They loved the loft bed and the bunk beds, and the bedrooms were dark (nice for the 5:30 am sunrise). Downstairs also included a roomy kitchen with three bar stools where the kids perched for breakfast, and a long dining room table and living room with a couple of couches -- and floor to ceiling bookshelves around the fireplace. Wish we would have had some time to read! Upstairs, the master bedroom was large and comfortable with nice linens and plush bamboo/cotton towels. There was a washer and dryer, which we utilized a lot (NYC in the summer with kids involves a lot of dirty clothes). Also upstairs was an amazing deck where we enjoyed wine and beer the homeowners left for us -- it was cooler at night, and extremely quiet for NYC. There were some great restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as some fun playgrounds in Riverside Park, and the American Museum of Natural History (great) and the Manhattan Children's Museum (we did not visit, but walked by it). Subway was close, too. The downside to the duplex was climbing the 55 or so stairs to get to the first floor of the apartment -- but this was not a problem for our family. The duplex was clean and well maintained, and the housekeeper answered all of our questions when we arrived. The owners were easy to work with, and left great directions -- as well as menus for takeout, guide books, subway maps and more guidebooks, all of which we utilized."Guest: Goldilocks Date of Stay: July 2013 Review Submitted: July 17, 2013View listing
"Our stay here was perfect! We are a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 6 and 4. The apartment was exactly as advertised: clean; very nicely sized, especially in comparison to NYC hotels (a better deal too); fully stocked kitchen (and refrigerator); bunk beds and lots of toys for the kids (boy and girl); view of Central Park outside dining room/family room window; view of Columbus Circle from master bed; access to 20th floor outside area for picnicking, bubble blowing, and gorgeous views of Central Park! The location was perfect for our needs: subway lines on same block; can walk to many places including Whole Foods and a huge mall with lots of stores/restaurants located on Columbus Circle; walking distance to FAO Schwarz/Bergdorf Goodman in the other direction; and Central Park literally across the street (cool play structures/zoo/horse carriages walking-minutes away). Owner Daniel was a total pleasure to work with: he provided list of yummy places to eat with kids (some elegant, some casual) as well as delivery/take out options, he texted a bunch to make sure we were happily situated and entertained throughout our trip (making suggestions, etc), and he even had his housecleaner come in to pick up mid-stay (and she did our laundry!). We celebrated my husband turning 40 during our 5-day stay here and it honestly could not have been a better trip. We can’t wait to stay here again!!"Guest: Deb Date of Stay: October 2012 Review Submitted: October 22, 2012View listing
"This place was perfect. It was just my sister and I, the bed was so big and comfortable, we were able to share just fine. The location was phenomenal, right next to NYU so there is a ton of places to eat, bars to hang out at, shops, etc right in that area. But I have to say, the best part of the entire stay was the owner. He was wonderful. He gave me his cell, and anytime I had a question, I could text him freely. Great guy, super friendly and outgoing, he made our stay so easy and flawless!"Guest: Tarra Castillo Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 2, 2014View listing
"My four night stay was fantastic. The building is secure, concierge service is great, the apartment is quiet and comfortable and the rooftop terrace is absolutely superb with stunning 360 degree views. Luxurious bed, ultra modern, well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a rain shower. Heaps of closet space. Great view of adjacent architecture. Big TV, efficient A/C and fast wifi. The washer/dryer inside the apt were an absolute bonus. A very positive and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended."Guest: Arja R.
