  • Great hosts and townhome.

"Our experience at this cute little townhome was very nice. There were 4 of us and we all stayed very comfortably. This remodeled property was clean and very well-kept. We had absolutely no complaints about the townhome, with exception of a running toilet that we pointed out at the end of our stay, which certainly was no big deal. Tony immediately apologized and was going to have it taken care of ASAP. We didn't do much cooking (who spends time cooking when you are in New York?), but the kitchen had the things you need, which was all we cared about. Tony and Christine were awesome hosts and very responsive both before, during and after our arrival. There is a sweet small grocery store literally within a block, which was quite handy, and we did buy a few things we needed at the little "department" type store just across from the grocer. We flew into LaGuardia and took Uber (not a taxi). The travel time was about 20 minutes and cost us about $28 total. Not too shabby!! This was our first experience with the Uber app. If you have not used it, download the app before you get there. It's private people driving you around in lieu of high taxi fares. We used them 3 times while we were there to go to and from the airport, and one evening when we were too exhausted to do the subway to get home after a night a eating and drinking downtown. I do, however, have to point out that the neighborhood was a bit challenging for our tastes. We were safe and never felt threatened nor pan-handled, but we did have to walk to subways and buses through some very sketchy "activities" at times. The street the property is on was quiet for the most part, but Lexington Avenue had it's "moments." I would have to rate the neighborhood low. All in all, for the price, don't expect Manhattan...but this property was worth the stay. We experienced New York and all walks of life during our week there... and that was okay with us. Afterall, it's those interesting and colorful experiences that you remember most... right? We had plenty of fun and enjoyed our time. Thank you so much Tony & Christine."

  • The Perfect Spot in Harlem

"I absolutely LOVED the apartment. It comfortably housed myself as well as my 4 friends. There was a full kitchen and fridge to use although we opted to eat out everyday. The bathroom was stocked with more than enough linen for the 5 of us. The renters above us had an issue with the Wi-Fi which Amal immediately addressed and took care of. Communication was very swift! As a consumer, that is something I really take note of and appreciate! Aside from the apartment being the perfect living quarters for us, the location provided even more! I love how close we were to Midtown and Times Square and all the other places we visited on our trip. One 15 minute ride on the subway and all of NYC was at our fingertips. The subway on 116th Street, only a few blocks away, was our preferred station although we took 125th sometimes as well. We were also in walking distance from a number of restaurants in Harlem. One of my favorites was Harlem Shake. The burgers! Yum!!! I loved walking up and down the streets taking in the beauty of the brownstones I'd only previously seen on tv, the culture, the architecture of Harlem! Gorgeous! I loved it all. The neighborhood was so cute and picturesque. At the end of the trip there was a bit of a scuffle with some neighbors but other than that incident, the neighborhood was rather quiet. This girls' trip was my first time in NYC and I can't wait to go back! A Georgia peach at heart but definitely enjoyed my taste of the Big Apple and my stay at 24 W 119th Street. In a way, it felt a little bit like my home! Would DEFINITELY rent from Amal again."

  • Nice stay in Harlem B/C line close by

"My wife and I stayed here for three days in June. Neighborhood was nice and quite two blocks to the B/C subway line convenient stores located within a block. Dana is GREAT host and very helpful! Since our plane wasn't leaving till later in the evening and no one else was staying that day we were able to keep our luggage in the room. A lot of the buildings charm is still there with all the modern conveniences. Nice stay for a couple looking to get away for a few days"

  • Great Place to stay..

"Just returned from my trip with 5 ladies and we can't say enough about how wonderful this apartment was. The beds were so comfortable after a long day walking around town. It was so quiet we almost forgot where we were. The neighbors were friendly and the guys that work at the corner store were awesome and very helpful. Subway was easy to get to we did use UBER to get home at night (fairly inexpensive). I look forward to staying here again."
