  • Outstanding location and 100% as promised.

"We stayed at the Chelsea property in late October 2014 for 6 nights and could not have been happier. All aspects of our initial inquiry, the booking, making payment, access to the property and advice was first rate. The apartment itself was as promised and in fact better than the photos showed. The kitchen is fully equipped with EVERYTHING you would ever need for a stay. My partner was keen to cook in one night, but why would you with all of New York right outside the door. The bed and pillows are all fine and because the bedroom is at the rear of the apartment, it’s very quite. The bath tub is fantastic and was frequented by my tied body after long days exploring New York. Having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment was also a great benefit. Internet access was an important feature for us and it was reliable and fast. There is also plenty of storage cupboards in the apartment which allowed us to unpack and not live out of our suitcases. Right outside the front door you have restaurants, cafes, supermarket and of course shopping. Importantly for us was the easy access to the Subway which consistently allowed us to move around New York quickly. We found the Subway safe both at night and during the day, as well as the streets in general around Chelsea. A big thank you also for allowing us to keep our luggage at the apartment for a few hours after check out. This allowed us to squeeze a few more shopping hours in before we departed back to Australia. Thank you for having us stay and we absolutely recommend the apartment to anyone travelling to New York."

  • Exceeds Expectations

"Stayed in this apartment for a week in August with my 2 young adult sons and one son's girlfriend - I oogled over the photos on the website for a week before committing. It was a splurge for us but could not have been more worth it. Had the best week ever with my kids, sitting and visiting at the days end was a true delight - we hung out on the deck and even had friends over who were completely charmed (and jealous) about the apartment. I had the lower floor and gave the upper to the young folk which worked out perfectly. (it was a little noisy when they were walking around overhead at 3 am after a night out but didn't really bother me.) I was a little concerned about the heat but the A/C was great and the fans supplied by the lovely owners also helped. Andrea was a wonderful communicator and she and Kit were delightful, it was fun getting to know them and hearing about the evolution of this truly unique, charming, spacious and well appointed space. Neighborhood was so cool - a TV series with Debra Messing was being filmed next door for an entire day during our stay - very cool. Lovely cafe down stairs and good shopping, proximity to Brooklyn, and the train lines to the entire city. LOVED IT!!!"

  • Pleasant and convenient

"This 2 floor apartment was wonderfully located, close to Central Park, the A and C subway lines, and restaurants and grocery stores in the Upper West side. We were two adults and three teenagers and it worked for us. It was relatively cool even in July - we tended not to use the air conditioning. It was well-equipped, and Livia was very pleasant and accommodating. It was a big plus having the patio out back, giving us much more space and a bit of sky."

  • Great studio!

"My husband and I love staying in Chelsea because it's away from the madness of Midtown yet easily accessible to the ACE subway line on 8th Ave (only two blocks away). Michael is a terrific host; he even brought us some homemade plum cobbler! The studio is exactly as pictured. It's light and airy and very private and quiet since it is at the back of the building. It's very well laid-out with everything one needs. Two great breakfast places are nearby--Sullivan Street Bakery and Trestle on Tenth. There's a new coffee shop across the street and Joe (I think of it as the East Coast Peet's) is a short five minute walk away. The Highline is close by and is a beautiful place to walk. We are already looking forward to our next visit. This space is head and shoulders above a cramped hotel room; one of the best HomeAway experiences we have ever had!"

Gramercy Travel Tips

Gramercy Vacation Apartments

A lesser known but wonderful opportunity for vacationers are the Gramercy New York apartment rentals. These rentals are a great chance to get to know the real life that goes on inside the community. Hotel rooms are usually only found in commercial areas of some towns, while rental homes are right in the heart of the out of the way areas. It is these little known areas that house Gramercy vacation apartments and show the real essence of a place.

History In the Park

Gramercy Park was one of the first city planning attempts in Manhattan, built for the residents whose homes immediately surround it. The keys to this park are only given to those people who own a home around it, making it only one of two private parks in all of New York City. The perimeter of the park was laid out in the 1830s and has played a part in history several times since, so there are sites to see near the Gramercy New York apartment rentals, especially for the history buff. It became a campground for Union soldiers during the Civil War. It is also home to New York City's oldest tavern which only survived Prohibition by disguising itself as a flower shop, and the Underground Railroad passed through the building that is now called the Brotherhood Synagogue.

Vacation In a Home Setting

Gramercy New York apartment rentals are a good option for vacationing families. In addition to feeling like a member of the local society,

Manhattan vacation rentals allow a vacation to include extended families. They can be together under one roof and eat meals together in a way that can not be accomplished in most restaurants. These rental properties allow families to vacation while enjoying the comfort of a home setting.
