  • Great Location

"Apartment was in a great location. Close to Central Park, close to restaurants and a 2 block walk to the subway. The neighbourhood felt safe, and it was great for evening strolls. We walked every where. We even walked down to the theatre district, Rockerfeller Plaza and Times Square. It was a bit of a trek to walk that far but the weather was so nice we enjoyed the walking. For those who don't want to walk that far the subway is just down the street. This apartment was the right size for the 2 of us. I think it would be fine for an extra child but 3 adults would feel pretty cramped. The internet worked without a hitch. Photos were accurate and it had all the amenities we needed for our stay Two suggestions: -the bedroom needs some new, real pillows. The pillows were very thin, no support and uncomfortable to sleep on. It was like there were no pillows at all. I advised Tony of the situation while we were there but never heard back from him. -the couch needs a good cleaning and possibly updating. It's a beige couch in a rented apartment; you can see where it is worn and dark from sitting on. It doesn't look clean....which doesn't mean that it isn't."

  • Favorite NYC B&B

"This is by far my favorite hotel in NYC! The location is great, only a few blocks from Bloomingdales, Saks, great shops on Third Avenue and Central Park as well as many of my favorite restaurants and museums. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The large armoire, spectacular bed and beautiful area rugs are classic and a great change from the cookie cutter rooms at most hotels. I always feel special staying in a grand brownstone in an incredible neighborhood! The inn keepers are always helpful and friendly and my family insists we return annually! My daughter loves the location and proximity to Dylan's Candy while my husband likes the quiet neighborhood and proximity to mid town business. I highly recommend this inn!!!!"

  • The perfect spot for a two-generation vacation on the UWS!

"There were five of us--my parents, my sister and brother-in-law, and myself (all over 30)--traveling to the city at the end of August to celebrate my father's 65th birthday. He grew up on the UWS and Jamie's townhouse was ideal, both in terms of location and amenities. The "oldens" had their own private suite downstairs while the "kids" commandeered the main floor, one flight up from street level. There was plenty of space for our group and we all enjoyed our morning conversations in the garden, complemented by the incredibly mild summer temperatures. The extensive library, CD player, and beautiful floor-to-ceiling atrium window just added to the overall charm and comfort of the apartment. We'll definitely stay with Jamie again during our next trip to NYC!"
