  • Awesome Experience

"This was our first VBRO rental and we could not have been more pleased. The apartment had everything we needed, including, best of all, a great location; close to subways, Washington Square, restaurants, bars and shopping. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to have a separate sitting area and a kitchen. The owner was wonderful to work with. He provided great communication through the entie process, including neighborhood suggestions. I would highly recommend this location."

  • Beautiful Property, excellent location! Grand time!

"Three of us stayed in this Upper West Side apartment for six days and really felt like New Yorkers! We enjoyed a picnic in Central Park (just a couple of blocks away), three fabulous Broadway shows and a taping of The Letterman Show (just an easy subway ride on the handy 123 line that was steps away), cooked great dinners in the well-appointed kitchen, enjoyed cocktails on the fabulous rooftop deck while watching the sun set over the Hudson (even cooked out up there one evening on the grill), and two of us slept like babies in that comfy king bed. Everything was meticulously clean, beautifully appointed and very cozy. The West Side Market a couple of blocks up the street had everything you could want and then some, and the wine store was just around the corner. Melissa was a very accommodating, friendly and communicative host. The entire process was 5-Star! We loved it!! Can't wait to return. Excellent value."

  • Great hosts and townhome.

"Our experience at this cute little townhome was very nice. There were 4 of us and we all stayed very comfortably. This remodeled property was clean and very well-kept. We had absolutely no complaints about the townhome, with exception of a running toilet that we pointed out at the end of our stay, which certainly was no big deal. Tony immediately apologized and was going to have it taken care of ASAP. We didn't do much cooking (who spends time cooking when you are in New York?), but the kitchen had the things you need, which was all we cared about. Tony and Christine were awesome hosts and very responsive both before, during and after our arrival. There is a sweet small grocery store literally within a block, which was quite handy, and we did buy a few things we needed at the little "department" type store just across from the grocer. We flew into LaGuardia and took Uber (not a taxi). The travel time was about 20 minutes and cost us about $28 total. Not too shabby!! This was our first experience with the Uber app. If you have not used it, download the app before you get there. It's private people driving you around in lieu of high taxi fares. We used them 3 times while we were there to go to and from the airport, and one evening when we were too exhausted to do the subway to get home after a night a eating and drinking downtown. I do, however, have to point out that the neighborhood was a bit challenging for our tastes. We were safe and never felt threatened nor pan-handled, but we did have to walk to subways and buses through some very sketchy "activities" at times. The street the property is on was quiet for the most part, but Lexington Avenue had it's "moments." I would have to rate the neighborhood low. All in all, for the price, don't expect Manhattan...but this property was worth the stay. We experienced New York and all walks of life during our week there... and that was okay with us. Afterall, it's those interesting and colorful experiences that you remember most... right? We had plenty of fun and enjoyed our time. Thank you so much Tony & Christine."

  • A Gem in NY City

"Everything was as advertised. We stayed Oct 1-4 before a cruise to New England & Canada. Great view, close to tourist attractions, Metro around the corner. Can walk to many sights! Cozy and secure. We thank Roy for giving us this experience. Would use again!!"
