"We had a great time staying at Ray's place in Upper Manhattan. We had never been to NYC and decided to go as a family before sending our daughter off for a year exchange to France. Ray's apartment was comfortable, clean, with nice amenities. For our trip it was important that he had working fans and air conditioning, it got quite warm at the end of our week. His place was easy to find and right on the major north south subway line up and down Manhattan. We could be with the crowds of Time Square in less than 20 minutes or in Central Park in 10. His neighborhood is very safe and we walked everywhere. There were great eats in the neighborhood, like The Edge, The Grange, The Sugar Hill Cafe, and Cafe One. We took the subway to Yankee's Stadium in 15 minutes. We went north to Dyckman Marina in Harlem and listened to live Hip Hop and Soul. Ray was accommodating with a early check in because the apartment was available and he kept our bags in his place for a late check out on our last day. My daughter thought the pull-out couch was a very comfortable bed, nothing like the old versions with springs. The kitchen is fully equipped. We would highly recommend a stay at this vacation rental and would rent it again on a return trip to NYC."

Great accommodation in a leafy quiet environment very close to Central Park
"The property was in a great location conducive to restaurants, the subway and shops including convenience stores. It is close to Central Park for a extensive or short walk and some of the major museums are nearby. The Owners were cooperative and helpful and willingly accommodated our needs and requests."

"A cozy place in the centre of West Village - for us definitely the best neighborhood to live in Manhattan. It's like a cool small village within the big city. Many restaurants, cafes, bars and parks in walking distance - we would'nt want to stay anywhere else.
Everything as shown in the pictures. You can feel the spirit of the owner Barbara (who must be a nice person), you feel a lot more at home as in any hotelroom. The bed ist fantastic - very comfortable! The bathroom a bit small but sufficient and economic (hot water all the time, many mirrors and space to put the toiletries). Aircon in living- and bedroom.
You really can't ignore the mentioned Subway. The whole place is shaking for a few seconds everytime a train passes below. But we got used to this after a short time and we found it more funny than annoying. At night we didn't notice it at all.
We didn't meet John as Luca happenend to be around - we had a great welcome and everything went perfect - thanks again.
We'll definitely return to this place !"
