"Apartment was in a great location. Close to Central Park, close to restaurants and a 2 block walk to the subway. The neighbourhood felt safe, and it was great for evening strolls. We walked every where. We even walked down to the theatre district, Rockerfeller Plaza and Times Square. It was a bit of a trek to walk that far but the weather was so nice we enjoyed the walking. For those who don't want to walk that far the subway is just down the street.
This apartment was the right size for the 2 of us. I think it would be fine for an extra child but 3 adults would feel pretty cramped.
The internet worked without a hitch.
Photos were accurate and it had all the amenities we needed for our stay
-the bedroom needs some new, real pillows. The pillows were very thin, no support and uncomfortable to sleep on. It was like there were no pillows at all. I advised Tony of the situation while we were there but never heard back from him.
-the couch needs a good cleaning and possibly updating. It's a beige couch in a rented apartment; you can see where it is worn and dark from sitting on. It doesn't look clean....which doesn't mean that it isn't."

"Our experience at this cute little townhome was very nice. There were 4 of us and we all stayed very comfortably. This remodeled property was clean and very well-kept. We had absolutely no complaints about the townhome, with exception of a running toilet that we pointed out at the end of our stay, which certainly was no big deal. Tony immediately apologized and was going to have it taken care of ASAP. We didn't do much cooking (who spends time cooking when you are in New York?), but the kitchen had the things you need, which was all we cared about. Tony and Christine were awesome hosts and very responsive both before, during and after our arrival.
There is a sweet small grocery store literally within a block, which was quite handy, and we did buy a few things we needed at the little "department" type store just across from the grocer.
We flew into LaGuardia and took Uber (not a taxi). The travel time was about 20 minutes and cost us about $28 total. Not too shabby!! This was our first experience with the Uber app. If you have not used it, download the app before you get there. It's private people driving you around in lieu of high taxi fares. We used them 3 times while we were there to go to and from the airport, and one evening when we were too exhausted to do the subway to get home after a night a eating and drinking downtown.
I do, however, have to point out that the neighborhood was a bit challenging for our tastes. We were safe and never felt threatened nor pan-handled, but we did have to walk to subways and buses through some very sketchy "activities" at times. The street the property is on was quiet for the most part, but Lexington Avenue had it's "moments." I would have to rate the neighborhood low.
All in all, for the price, don't expect Manhattan...but this property was worth the stay. We experienced New York and all walks of life during our week there... and that was okay with us. Afterall, it's those interesting and colorful experiences that you remember most... right? We had plenty of fun and enjoyed our time. Thank you so much Tony & Christine."
