"I absolutely LOVED the apartment. It comfortably housed myself as well as my 4 friends. There was a full kitchen and fridge to use although we opted to eat out everyday. The bathroom was stocked with more than enough linen for the 5 of us. The renters above us had an issue with the Wi-Fi which Amal immediately addressed and took care of. Communication was very swift! As a consumer, that is something I really take note of and appreciate! Aside from the apartment being the perfect living quarters for us, the location provided even more! I love how close we were to Midtown and Times Square and all the other places we visited on our trip. One 15 minute ride on the subway and all of NYC was at our fingertips. The subway on 116th Street, only a few blocks away, was our preferred station although we took 125th sometimes as well. We were also in walking distance from a number of restaurants in Harlem. One of my favorites was Harlem Shake. The burgers! Yum!!! I loved walking up and down the streets taking in the beauty of the brownstones I'd only previously seen on tv, the culture, the architecture of Harlem! Gorgeous! I loved it all. The neighborhood was so cute and picturesque. At the end of the trip there was a bit of a scuffle with some neighbors but other than that incident, the neighborhood was rather quiet.
This girls' trip was my first time in NYC and I can't wait to go back! A Georgia peach at heart but definitely enjoyed my taste of the Big Apple and my stay at 24 W 119th Street. In a way, it felt a little bit like my home!
Would DEFINITELY rent from Amal again."

"Our family of 6 had a perfect stay in the apartment. From my little 3-year-old girl to my 72-year-old daddy, everybody felt comfortably at home there. The living room has two big fold out couches that we kept as our beds, without ever folding them during our stay, and this did not block the room, which is really big. The bedroom was left to my parents, who have really appreciated the huge bed and the silence surrounding the building at night. The kitchen has everything you need, even when you decide to prepare meals for everybody in the evening! The bathroom is clean and suitable. The neighborhood is really good, with a playground for the kids just across the street and a supermarket, a drugstore, a liquor store and some shops all around us. The subway is also nearby and we have used it everyday in different times never feeling unsafe or standing for more than 5 minutes on the platform. Most important of all, though, was Ray`s kindness to us, from the first email we have exchanged to the farewell in the taxi he himself got to take us to JFK. He really is always there and does his best to make you feel at home. We have appreciated his generosity throughout our stay there, in every detail, including information about getting around in NYC. We definitely recommend this apartment!"

"My wife and I stayed here for three days in June.
Neighborhood was nice and quite two blocks to the B/C subway line convenient stores located within a block.
Dana is GREAT host and very helpful!
Since our plane wasn't leaving till later in the evening and no one else was staying that day we were able to keep our luggage in the room.
A lot of the buildings charm is still there with all the modern conveniences.
Nice stay for a couple looking to get away for a few days"

"My friend, myself and our three daughters stayed here for three nights. It was a wonderful space and we accessed the subway easily and used it exclusively for our travels. Visitors need to learn about the difference between local and express (it took us a day!) and then you are off! The A-train was a 15 or 20 minute trip to downtown, door to "door", the 1 train is a lot longer but less of a walk. It was terrific to have so much space when we arrived back "home" thoroughly exhausted and had enough room not to get on each others' nerves. Laurel was lovely and accommodating. The neighbourhood was lively and we felt safe and welcomed. I would recommend to others to ensure that they go both to Broadway and Amsterdam as both are such different streets and increases the selections of restaurants and stores."
