  • Great Condo in the heart of TIMES SQUARE

"After a delayed flight and our arrival from MIA to this condo at past midnight we were hoping that our vacation would turn out a little better... but As soon as we walked in the condo my daughter and husband were very happy that the condo was so clean and spotless and the VIEW was exactly what my teenage daughter wanted..The bed had all white sheets and was very comfortable. Not a speck of dirt anywhere. The building is exactly what Chantale told me hallways, lobby were clean and attractive and VERY quiet...This condo was right in the heart of the theater, restaurants, pharmacy and 1 block from subway.M &M store is right below/next to the condo.. The front desk was very helpful in providing information to go to certain locations. The living room couch which turns into a bed (I believe full or queen.. don't remeber) my daughter said it was comfortable. My communication with Chantale was exceptionally TOP NOTCH... she always answered her emails and/or calls within 24 hours or less and ALOT LESS!!! The condo has everything you need including washer and dryer which was a BIG PLUS!! I highly Recommend this condo and I'm currently looking to make it a yearly ritual."

  • No surprises is a very good thing

"I am an ex-NYer who came back for business and pleasure for 3 weeks last month. I usually stay with friends but not for a period this long. I saw this unit online and did my first HomeExchange rental. I was extremely pleased with following: 1) owner and his orientation to apartment and building services and his guidebook- very hands on and helpful, even with my bags both coming and going also; 2) unit- it looks exactly as you see it on the listing- very light, bright; 3) Location is perfect in mid-town where I needed to be- 30 min walk to theatre district and Grand central subways are 5 minutes away; 4) cleanliness-I am vary wary of bugs given my prior NY history. Not 1 bug did I see in the unit or building!!; 5) internet worked like a charm; 6) large closet with lots of hangers; 7) it's on a street, not avenue so relatively quiet; 8) People in the building that I met were nice and they even had a December holiday party in the lobby for the residents and staff- very well attended (this did not happen in building when I lived in NY). FedEx, Dagostinos, Shake Shack are a stone's throw away and owner told me there's a vegan bakery at block's end. Only downsides- everything is white so as a red wine drinker I had to be very cautious. Even coffee grounds will stain a counter if you don't wipe them right away. Teeny kitchenette- not really practical for making a meal, but simple stuff (oatmeal, toasting bagel, reheating takeout, making coffee, etc.) works fine and for a small fridge you can fit a lot in. I suggest owner get some place mats and coasters given the "white" situation and wash cloths for bathroom would be nice addition too. Would definitely rent from him again and recommend to others. Additional note: if you try to make a pickup reservation with SuperShuttle online the address shows up as a hotel and SS charges a surcharge for hotel pickups, so you need to make your reservation by phone to save the $20+. The doorman did tell me that it used to be a Hilton many moons ago."

  • Oasis in the city

"As I sit in this lovely apt. on our last morning here, enjoying a cup of tea, I just had to write to say how much we enjoyed our stay. I’d say the main attraction of this apt is location. Right off of 5th Ave., 3 blocks from the Empire State Bldg Observatory Entrance, and 2 subway stops from Times Square, this apt is ideally situated for exploring the city. I counted 3 main subway stations within walking distance of the apt! The apt is on a direct line to the 911 Memorial (R Train), to Times Square (R Train), Lincoln Center (no. 1 train) and to Bloomingdales (No 6 train). There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Take a right out of the bldg and walk to the end of the block for a great convenience store/deli, where I purchased our breakfast each morning to bring back to the apt. Delicious bagel sandwiches! S'Mac, on 33rd and 3rd is also an easy walk from the apt and offers wonderful dishes at a great price! There is also a Bread and Butter on 5th Ave and 31st that literally offers anything you could want to eat, from Korean food, Japanese food, Italian, to NYC deli. They offer a great hot buffet that is very reasonable. The owner was very responsive to any requests I had and was a true delight to work with. He provided a detailed account of the neighborhood and the location of all amnenities one might need, including laundry, gym, and grocery stores, as well as restaurant recommendations. The apt itself is very comfortable and provides everything one might need during their stay. Tom has thoughtfully provided umbrellas in the closet, tea and coffee in the cupboard (along with many other condiments and toiletries) and the bed is one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. There is a full bathroom, including a tub. Those who are in the city for business will appreciate the large desk and desk lamp along with free wifi! The a/c worked wonderfully and was much appreciated during the muggy summer days. I can’t think of a single thing lacking in this apt. It was just my son and I on this trip, but there is a blow up mattress, so I’d think a family of 3 would also be quite comfortable here. The only caveat I would offer is that it is a 4th floor walk up, which might be challenging to the elderly or those with very young children, but for us, it was a welcome way to work off the delightful food we enjoyed in the city. Thanks again Tom for a wonderful stay."

  • Perfect - highly recommended

"We stayed in this apartment over Xmas/New Year and it was everything we wanted. The photo's don't lie - there are 2 spacious bedrooms, proper bathrooms and a generous living area. The location is excellent - remarkably quiet but within easy walking distance of Times Square, theatres etc. There are numerous restaurants a short walk away on 8th/9th Avenues. The apartment was clean and Nick was extremely efficient in dealing with our booking and returning deposit. If (when) we return to NY this would be our first port of call."
