  • Gets Better Every Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    "We cannot say enough good things about this condo/apartment. This was our 11th year that we have had a girls weekend in New York, at Christmas, and we have been staying as Irina and Laura's guests since 2011. We truly feel this our little slice of NY heaven for as long as we can come, and we are already looking forward to next year. For anyone who is thinking of travelling to NY; this is definitely a wonderful experience."

  • Not a "Dream Apartment" but Functional/Good locale

    "This is a REAL review. We just arrived home yesterday from our trip to NYC. Several of the reviews listed directly below this one are questionable as they also review other properties owned/managed by this group. Our family with four kids (ages 14 to 10) stayed in this apartment for a week. Overall, the apartment looks as it is pictured but do not get the impression this is a fancy apartment. It isn't. The furnishings are inexpensive, the mattresses should be replaced, and some of the appliances are less than ideal (the microwave is slow and the coffee pot leaks) BUT it is in a great location, the kitchen is fairly well stocked (with the exception of a baking sheet), the A/C works great even in July (the noise helps drown out the street noise), the wifi worked (important to kids), the cable worked most of the time (would go out intermittently for some odd reason), a sponge, trash bags, some toilet paper/paper towels, dish soap and detergent for dishwasher were provided, Diego was responsive and we had no major problems. Overall, I would say this apartment works great if you intend to stay for an extended period of time in NYC and want an option that is not a hotel so you can eat some meals in and have a little more space than a hotel room. The apartment is ideally located to several subway lines, Times Square and Central Park. This is honestly it's strongest selling point. The stairs are a pain but it's good exercise so I'm not complaining too much about that."

  • Fabulous NYC Condo...

    "This is the 1st online review I have ever written. But it is well deserved as this condo was everything it was advertised to be for us and everyone we dealt with with from owner/managers to all staff were very nice and accommodating. We had plenty of room with 1 queen bed in the bedroom and 2 futons in the living/dinning area plus a nice kitchen. It was very comfortable and the condo was well equipped. The location was great as we were by the Hudson River, walking distance to Central Park and very close to the 72nd street subway stations to get all around Manhattan. There were many places to eat near by between the condo and the subway. We enjoyed the Pier-i Cafe just a block away along the river. The condo had a community laundry room and there is a dry cleaners that does laundry by the pound too. In the condo across the street there is a nice grocery store called the Jubilee that is convenient for all groceries and sundry items. Overall, we had a great time and will return to this condo. Thanks a bunch!!!"

  • Communication is key!

    "We very much enjoyed our post-Christmas week in NY at this location. The location is really great, though during the busy holiday season, moving about by cab (particularly in the direction of downtown) can be quite challenging, given all the visitors in and around the Grand Central and Times Square areas. The apartment itself was quite nice; it was a very comfortable setting for us and our two young adult children. The problem that marred our visit a bit was the fact that no one was available, as had been promised, to enable us to understand the set-up inside the apartment. The concierge and building staff (who were VERY nice throughout our visit!) let us into the apartment, but no one knew where to locate the key that we were to use during our stay. The owner's "point person" was not around. Without him, we couldn't find the key, we didn't have a wi-fi access code, we couldn't find wash clothes (which we ending up buying), we didn't have any information about what was in the apt that was available for our use, nor were we able to secure the housekeeping arrangements we had inquired about. After spending our first day rummaging about through all the drawers, cabinets, nooks and crannies in the apt, that night we found a key tucked away in a very unlikely place. It wasn't until almost halfway thru our visit when the owner's point person returned from being out ill, that we were able to get all the information we needed. He was surprised to see us and said he had not been aware we were coming. Neither, he said was the housekeeping service, so that was something we were never able to arrange. The fact that no one was aware that we'd be in the apt really surprised us, since we had had quite a few communications with the owner. While we certainly did what we had to to enjoy ourselves and this lovely apt (thanks to the owner for the wine; it was a very nice touch!), the apparent lack of communication or miscommunication between the owner and his people that preceded our visit clearly detracted a bit from the overall experience. At the price we paid for this week, that was disappointing. Had the point person been available from the start to help us settle in, and had we been able to arrange housekeeping, it would have been perfect!"
