  • Huge, convenient, private, easy...

"This is a very large apartment, and it is very well maintained. You have all the space you want and no crumbling decay to deal with. The bedrooms are both enormous, and the MB ensuite is equally giant. We found this apartment to be extremely well located. A fifteen minute walk from Madison Park, and a 2 minute walk from the subway (6 line). We didn't shop for food and do any cooking, but there was a D'Agostino and a couple other places nearby that would work--although, you'd be better off at the Union Sq. Whole Foods. Check-in was fast and easy. Check-out was even faster and easier--we just left! Noise...The master bedroom was quiet for NYC and what we expected. The front bedroom was noisy from traffic on Lex. Our kids didn't seem to notice though. It wasn't any different than you'd find in any other similarly positioned apt. in NY... We've stayed in dozens of rental properties and this one is definitely one of the few worth returning to... As an added bonus: We left a retainer behind and it was quickly found by the cleaning staff and mailed to us immediately."

  • Perfect location for a first time NY visitor

"Pros: Perfect location (within walking distance of many attractions, subway, etc., yet was in a residential area and was relatively quiet), convenient arrival, included everything that we needed for our week. Cons: Place wasn't overly clean... bed sheets were old and bally with mysterious hairs on it and the comforter (without a cover) had several red (appeared to be blood...ew) stains on it. Hair and crumbs in cutlery drawer. Additionally, I had a very rude encounter with the owner prior to our trip. After over a weeks worth of emails went unanswered (long story- she told me the place was unavailable when we spoke on the phone initially, and then the website let me book that same place a few days later, so I booked it but wanted to confirm that this wasn't a mix-up), I called the number she had available on her ad and she rudely asked me what I wanted, and then yelled at me for "interrupting her in the middle of an appointment" to which I apologized and said I'd email her (again), wondering why she answered her phone if she was in the middle of something? Overall, I'd stay here again, for location reasons, however, I'd bring my own bedding and not expect much for "friendliness"."

  • Great place to discover NYC!

"My daugther and wife stayed at the unit for 10 days in December. Location was perfect for us. Columbus circle, at middtown and a block from Central Park. Got the metro and bus stops very very near to move all arround Manhattan. The unit was very confortable and neat. As it is shown in the photos. Josh, the owner, had been always on line in case we needed anything. All the Doormans of the building were very kind. Surely would come again."

  • Not a "Dream Apartment" but Functional/Good locale

"This is a REAL review. We just arrived home yesterday from our trip to NYC. Several of the reviews listed directly below this one are questionable as they also review other properties owned/managed by this group. Our family with four kids (ages 14 to 10) stayed in this apartment for a week. Overall, the apartment looks as it is pictured but do not get the impression this is a fancy apartment. It isn't. The furnishings are inexpensive, the mattresses should be replaced, and some of the appliances are less than ideal (the microwave is slow and the coffee pot leaks) BUT it is in a great location, the kitchen is fairly well stocked (with the exception of a baking sheet), the A/C works great even in July (the noise helps drown out the street noise), the wifi worked (important to kids), the cable worked most of the time (would go out intermittently for some odd reason), a sponge, trash bags, some toilet paper/paper towels, dish soap and detergent for dishwasher were provided, Diego was responsive and we had no major problems. Overall, I would say this apartment works great if you intend to stay for an extended period of time in NYC and want an option that is not a hotel so you can eat some meals in and have a little more space than a hotel room. The apartment is ideally located to several subway lines, Times Square and Central Park. This is honestly it's strongest selling point. The stairs are a pain but it's good exercise so I'm not complaining too much about that."
