"The apartment location is fabulous in a really beautiful. typical New York st upper west side just a minute from central park. You can walk across to east side in about 10 minutes through central park , subways to everywhere are just a few minutes walk and there is a great grocery store on the street corner and some nice restaurants and shopping around . It's a cozy ( small ) apartment but it fitted us and our 2 teenagers comfortably. comfy beds and air conditioning and a washing machine was a bonus . It was a quiet haven to come home to at the end of a busy sightseeing day . We would stay there again .Miss it already!!"

"My wife, her parents and I stayed at Bill's apartment for 1 week. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Bill's apartment is very clean and well appointed. It was also nice to have the two levels for a bit of separation from one another ;-) Communication with Bill was great and he helped orient us to the neighbourhood. The subway is only 3 blocks from the apartment which made getting around the city a breeze.
We are big foodies so it was rewarding to find 2 awesome soul food restaurants (Amy Ruth's and Sylvia's) within a short walk of the apartment. We particularly enjoyed Sylvia's. Do yourself a favour and head there for the fried chicken and waffles.
You won't be disappointed to stay in Bill's apartment in a great Harlem neighbourhood so feel free to go ahead and make a booking!"

"This loft was just what my parents and I needed! For 3 of us it was the perfect amount of space. It was great to find a place that had two actual beds, not one bed and a pull out couch (even though it has that also). Overall the apartment is what you would expect for NYC. Kind of old, kind of dingy, kind of small, but for the price I'm not complaining! And even through the price is awesome the location is even BETTER! Multiple subway lines within blocks, excellent Madison Square park one block away (where I spent every morning), delicious Eataly and Fairway Market at opposite ends of the street (please check out both!) and let's not forget the Flat Iron Building! I was overall thrilled with this apartment. If ever returning to New York, I will be booking this loft!
The only complaint I have is that the booking/payment process was a little sketchy. The deposit was 20% (not unusual) but it was not through a booking agency, just paypal. Even when we arrived, we left our bags with Winston since it was early, paid the rest in cash and left to catch our theater show without seeing the apartment. I had to have faith that Tonya and Winston were legit. Good thing they turned out to be, even though I never actually met Tonya. It all worked out, but had me pretty nervous. Hopefully that process will be changing in the future."
