  • Not a "Dream Apartment" but Functional/Good locale

"This is a REAL review. We just arrived home yesterday from our trip to NYC. Several of the reviews listed directly below this one are questionable as they also review other properties owned/managed by this group. Our family with four kids (ages 14 to 10) stayed in this apartment for a week. Overall, the apartment looks as it is pictured but do not get the impression this is a fancy apartment. It isn't. The furnishings are inexpensive, the mattresses should be replaced, and some of the appliances are less than ideal (the microwave is slow and the coffee pot leaks) BUT it is in a great location, the kitchen is fairly well stocked (with the exception of a baking sheet), the A/C works great even in July (the noise helps drown out the street noise), the wifi worked (important to kids), the cable worked most of the time (would go out intermittently for some odd reason), a sponge, trash bags, some toilet paper/paper towels, dish soap and detergent for dishwasher were provided, Diego was responsive and we had no major problems. Overall, I would say this apartment works great if you intend to stay for an extended period of time in NYC and want an option that is not a hotel so you can eat some meals in and have a little more space than a hotel room. The apartment is ideally located to several subway lines, Times Square and Central Park. This is honestly it's strongest selling point. The stairs are a pain but it's good exercise so I'm not complaining too much about that."

  • It was a marvellous stay

"Our favorite element in the apartment is the entrance, living and dining room area with its spectacular views over the City, the beautiful sunsets and nighttime views, its comfortable armchairs and sofa. Everything else was fine, too, e.g. the beds (those used by us 4) were all very comfortable, the master bathroom was exceedingly luxurious (and with a spectacular view, too), and the air-conditioning in every room was truly helpful in August. The photos accurately reflect the apartment's appearance and amenities. The individual arrangement of furniture, paintings etc. in the apartment gave us the cozy and "everyday life"-feeling we prefer so much over staying in hotel rooms. The owners gave us a phone-number to contact them if any questions or problems should arise during our stay. As everything went smoothly all right, we needn't use it. We also appreciated it very much that we could stay till 6 p.m. on the day of our departure. Our flight back went around 10 p.m., so we could visit some sights and a great restaurant without worrying about where to put our heavy luggage. The atmosphere in the house was friendly and quiet. When we needed some quick advice, we mostly asked a kind doorman when we passed by. We can thoroughly recommend this apartment. Naturally, we would not recommend to stay in a Midtown Manhattan apartment for traffic noise sensitive sleepers (or only with earplugs). We went sightseeing on all of our 7 days in NYC. The nearest subway station is a very good point of intersection which also enabled daytime breaks for a shower, a nap or the depositing of shopping-goods in no time. A nearby plaza was a great location to just sit on the stone steps and watch the City in a stress-free manner after a long day. In our view, it's a likeable neighborhood, with an average rate of hustle and bustle (for Manhattan of course, not for the Bavarian countryside where we come from), providing everything you could need nearby. We also loved Central Park in a walking distance. If we once again travel to New York City in a party bigger than 2, we will certainly try to get into this apartment again."

  • Amazing apt in NYC

"We booked this amazing and 5 stars apt in NYC for my 50 years birthay on January 2014 for a 10 days. Roberto, the manager is ready to help you with anything. Just give him a call and he will be ready to serve you during his work time (until 430pm). Views from the apt (living and BR) are absolutely breathtaking! The place is very clean, beds are very very comfortable and large (one king king and 2 full beds), kitchen is completely equipped. AC in the living room is a little noisy and Internet wifi has some issues to pick up the IP the first time in some devices , but finally, you will get it. Towels, linens everything was according to the price and location. PERFECT! I will highly recommend this place to anyone and definitely will stay again next time I fly to NYC."

  • Great Hospitality

"Marea was a delightful hostess. She gave us extensive details about stores and restaurants in the area, as well as transportation and theater tips. You can't beat the location. Our family of 5 enjoyed 4 great days at her apartment. It was nice to have an updated and spacious kitchen to enjoy our breakfast and plan our site seeing for the day, instead of waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. Thank you for a memorable NYC experience."
