  • Wonderful!!!

"Fantastic location and very comfortable place!!! We stayed 6 days and had a great time. Easy access to most places, and especially to Broadway theaters!!! Try biking the greenway on the west side. Easy stroll to the piers where you can rent a bike from City Bikes - very reasonable!!!"

  • White Christmas in NYC

"Six members of my family met in NYC and stayed in this apartment for two weeks over Christmas/New Year 2009/10. We arrived to snow storm chaos at JFK and took 6hrs to get from the airport to the apartment, eventually arriving at 3.30am. Roberto, the very good natured and charming landlord took us through the basics of the apartment then left us to sleep, returning the next afternoon for more detailed explanation. He had complied a list of local restaurants and service shops that was very helpful and, living next door, he added his own ideas for making the most of our first NY experience which we enjoyed. Right from my very first online enquiry Roberto was prompt and helpful. The apartment was exactly as listed, very spacious and funky. It is not '5 star' but it is clean, well maintained and generously equiped. It has a relaxed, homely feel but with an interesting artistic edge which made it the perfect place to unwind at the end of a days sightseeing. It was great to be able to walk to Wholefoods and other produce stores as well as many and varied restaurants. Nobu on Hudson our favourite. An easy walk to subway stations made exploring the rest of Manhatten very straightforward. We only took one taxi in the whole 2 weeks. At one stage the heating wasn't sufficient but that was quickly remedied by the property manager who also refunded our security deposit on time as promised. I would definitely recommend this property for an adult family or group. The loft bedrooms may restrict access for some but anyone who can climb a ladder would be fine. We gathered for drinks in the kitchen most nights and had a memorable Christmas dinner in the dining room of all the seafood carried home on the subway the night before. Very happy memories. Would love to do it all again!"

  • A lovely apartment in an ideal location!

"We had a wonderful visit to New York City, and this lovely apartment was the perfect place to stay! Four of us (two adults, two teenagers) had plenty of comfortable space to relax between city adventures. The loft is large with lots of huge windows, and nicely divided into separate areas. The kitchen has everything we needed for cooking; there are several markets (small and large grocery, farmers market), plus so many great restaurants within close walking distance. The location is ideal for walking, shopping, sightseeing, etc. Everything we wanted and more! We would definitely want to stay here again."

  • Made our stay

"Thank you so much for sharing your rental home with us! Jonathan was gracious & prompt when answering inquiries. He assisted my husband through the financial aspect of the transaction & refunded an overpayment we made on our end exactly as promised! I cannot say enough about the apartment! The upstairs bathroom was spacious, the living area comfortable airy & light. With the roof top deck & coffee shop only steps away we almost didn't need to leave. Be aware there are 65 steps that lead up to this oasis!! (Although it did serve as an excellent work out for this late 50's couple.) I highly recommend the property & hope to return soon."
