"This was the best apartment in our three years of renting one for a month in the summer. It is roomy, well maintained, clean, and in the heart of the West Village. We counted over 20 restaurants on Carmine Street alone. It's close to the Hudson River Park and just about everything that the West Village has to offer. Luca, the contact person, John, the super, and his wife couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We met Barbara, the owner, and found her to be a delight, as well. The subway sounds and feel, could possibly bother someone who was afraid of the subway or had never visited the city, but certainly didn't bother us a bit. In fact, over all , the apartment was rather quiet. The courtyard is a real bonus, with lovely plantings, and a great place for morning coffee. We highly recommend this apartment."

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying two weeks over Christmas in this fabulous apartment. Photos don't do it justice. Fabulous location and Shani's local tips proved invaluable. Shani and Albert are absolutely delightful and a slight hiccup we had with heating was dealt with immediately without any fuss. Thank you Shani and Albert for allowing us to stay and we hope to return some day."

"My wife and I went to NYC to visit our daughter (who lives in Brooklyn) and to see some shows. The apartment is comfortable (air conditioning works very well) and beautiful (especially the view from the balcony). It is also very conveniently located, with Lincoln Center (where we went to two performances) essentially next door. There is a subway station only a 15 minute walk away, so it is very easy to get to Broadway (where we saw two plays). Coming home from Broadway was only a $10 cab ride (not including tip). There is also a grocery store just around the corner that stays open till 10 p.m.
What really made our stay special was how wonderful a host James was. My wife and I have had very good luck with VRBO both in the US and Europe. But, James was, by far, the best host we have encountered. The apartment is very well stocked with coffee, sweeteners, condiments, towels, toiletries, tour books and maps of NYC, and numerous other items that made us feel truly at home. There were even umbrellas, which were very helpful during the deluge we encountered one day.
We are already planning our trip back to NYC next year, and will definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this wonderful place."

"The studio is just as described: sunny, clean and perfectly located east of midtown. It is on the 6th floor and quiet by NYC standards. The building gym is small but clean, and was either empty or had 1-2 other users when I went. The location of the studio is very convenient to the subway and Grand Central Terminal (5 minute walk), and there are great little eateries and coffee shops within 1-2 blocks. Tim was extremely hospitable and responsive, and kindly allowed us to check in early (at 7 am!) since we arrived on a red-eye from LA and the previous occupants had checked out the day prior. I will definitely try to stay here on future trips to NYC."
