Life is good in the East Village
"Our family of four adults stayed here for two days and two nights. We wished we would have stayed longer.
The location was so convenient, getting around the city was a breeze and we all loved walking around the neighborhoods. The apartment fit our needs perfectly and it was extremely comfortable.
The thing that made this stay so positive was the owner. We were well prepared prior to our arrival in NYC. All our questions were answered on a timely basis and there were no surprises. We felt welcomed in the home and treated it as such. When traveling, one is asked, "Would you go there again, would you stay there again." The answer is YES!"

"From the moment the owners met us in front of the apartment building (and helped us bring our luggage up) to the gracious follow-up arranging to return an item we had inadvertently left in the unit, our experience with this apartment was exemplary. The owners had even left spices, ground coffee, a small OJ and milk, and other incidentals in the refrigerator and invited us to use what was there. The furnishings are very luxurious, comfortable and personal - the three of us stayed for almost three weeks, but within a day or two we felt very much at home. After every long day of sightseeing, we looked forward to returning to the apartment and its ample air conditioning, and on the days we stayed in, the apartment was more than large enough for all of us to feel comfortable without stepping on each others' toes.
The location is very convenient. The immediate block has several restaurants (sit-down, casual, natural food, indian, french among others), as well as a small supermarket on the corner (though it is a little on the expensive side). A larger supermarket is another two blocks away. The apartment is within two or three blocks of just about every major subway on Manhattan, and we were able to get to most of the places we wanted to go within 15 minutes of leaving the front door. We regularly walked back and forth to see shows on Broadway or to visit the southern section of Central Park.
In sum, this is probably the best VRBO rental we have ever done (we have done about a dozen in different cities), and we were very sad to have to leave this apartment at the end of our stay. While renting this unit is not inexpensive, I feel like I received my money's worth, and I look forward to renting it again in a future visit to Manhattan. Top notch."

"My husband and I recently stayed here for 8 nights; our daughter joined us for 4 nights. We really liked the space- a lovely NY brownstone - and the location - right next to Central Park with quick access to the subway. The bedrooms are private and spacious and the patio is a private oasis in the midst of a very busy city. The Met, Guggenheim, and Museum of Natural History are all within easy walking distance. The hosts were delightful and helpful, and just good conversationalists! When we returned at the end of each day it was enjoyable to spend a few minutes catching up with each others' day. We would gladly stay here again and would highly recommend others to do the same."
