A real home in best neighborhood
"A cozy place in the centre of West Village - for us definitely the best neighborhood to live in Manhattan. It's like a cool small village within the big city. Many restaurants, cafes, bars and parks in walking distance - we would'nt want to stay anywhere else.
Everything as shown in the pictures. You can feel the spirit of the owner Barbara (who must be a nice person), you feel a lot more at home as in any hotelroom. The bed ist fantastic - very comfortable! The bathroom a bit small but sufficient and economic (hot water all the time, many mirrors and space to put the toiletries). Aircon in living- and bedroom.
You really can't ignore the mentioned Subway. The whole place is shaking for a few seconds everytime a train passes below. But we got used to this after a short time and we found it more funny than annoying. At night we didn't notice it at all.
We didn't meet John as Luca happenend to be around - we had a great welcome and everything went perfect - thanks again.
We'll definitely return to this place !"

"We were two couples and one of the four had never been to NYC what a fabulous introduction. The two bedroom, two bath apartment is perfect for couples. We especially enjoyed the terrace in the evening when we would sit and reminisce about they day and plan the next. Convenient transportation to all parts of NYC is located within 2-3 blocks. There is also a variety of restaurants (breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner) and food markets in the area. Central Park and the Museum of Natural History a few blocks away. Highly recommend"

"The unit was clean and pretty much as advertised. Altho the unit is in Queens it is only a few blocks from the subway and a short subway ride takes you to the heart of Manhattan. The unit is as convenient as ones in Manhattan but priced more reasonably. There was a grocery store just across the street. We had good food at reasonable prices at both the Mexican and Italian restaurants that are close by. The photo of the front room shows two sofas, but the unit actually has one sofa and two armless upholstered chairs. We were a group of 4. We all found the chairs somewhat uncomfortable. We also literally were down to our last square of toilet tissue by the time we left. We did not contact the owners so can't deduct any stars for that, but we were surprised there wasn't more tissue in the unit. Would definately recommend it to others."
