  • I have recommended this condo to my friends and family, there is no higher praise.

"The other reviewers are exactly right, the condo is lovely and the views are amazing. I decided to discuss some of the other benefits of the condominium. First, it is very near the Port Authority Bus Terminal, that means you can take the Airporter or Express bus from any of the three major airports and get to the condominium for $16 one way, $9 for seniors. You will have a walk of less than 2 minutes, perfect, and they run every 15 minutes. We almost always walk or take the subway and the Port Authority has the A,B, & C lines. That means you can easily get to the World Trade Center, several museums, and the theater district. Everywhere else you will probably want to go runs through Times Square station and that is just a 5 minute walk away. The Circle Line boat pier is just a 10 minute walk down 42nd street and I highly recommend you take one of their cruises around Manhattan. If you want to take a taxi there is a queue on 9th so you don't need to try to hail a cab. There is a very nice deli-market right next door but if you are planning on eating in occasionally there is a Food Emporium, a full service grocery, in the next block. The doorman will direct you. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. We were there for nine days and it was only a day or two before they recognized us and had the door open as we approached. Everyone in the building was very nice, it was fun to be living among 'real' New Yorkers. We have stayed in VRBO listings all over the world and Susan's was the best by far. The unit books up far in advance so be sure to contact her as soon as you know you will be in NYC."

  • A great apartment for families.

"We stayed in this apartment in May this year for 4 nights. No where near long enough. What a great position. For a family with 2 teenage children it was ideal. We could spread out and have our own space. The subway was an easy walk. Central Park is at the end of the street. An all night pharmacy/supermarket is almost next door and there are plenty of fabulous restaurants very close by. It is an easy walk to the museum also where you can catch the hop on hop off bus. We all slept very well. It is a very quiet apartment and we all felt very safe in this neighborhood and in the apartment. Livia was very helpful and answered all emails very quickly regarding questions we had prior to our arrival. Instructions were super clear regarding access to the apartment. Thanks Livia for making our stay in New York very comfortable and enjoyable. One tip about getting to JFK - As the apartment is almost on the corner of a main road it is super easy to get a taxi. Don't book a shuttle to the airport. We nearly missed our flight due to all the other pick ups the shuttle driver did."

  • Location location Location!!!

"Can't beat the 16th floor of Zeckendorf Tower for access to everything in Manhattan and beyond. Walk to Trader Joes and Whole Foods - less than 100 yards, or lounge at Starbucks or Panera Bread, in the same complex as the apartment. A Food Emporium downstairs also has what you need. Our 30 day stay in Wilson & Angella's apartment was perfect for us - walk a few blocks to visit our daughter and new grandson, or catch a subway to Times Square or Central Park or the Highline or Soho or......or....or The apartment is very efficiently laid out, and the Apple TV has most news and entertainment channels available. I connected my iPad to the TV to get other cable-based TV access that I had on my iPad. The in building fitness center was very enjoyable and never too crowded even though it serves a large # of potential users in this complex. Wilson was very responsive in taking care of a couple of details once we got settled in, and was always available if we had a question or needed something explained. The only minor negative that might affect some users is there can be traffic noise at night due to the high volume of siren-based vehicles around Union Square and the adjacent hospital. But nearly all of New York has traffic noise, so get used to it!!"
