Charming Chelsea Apartment ... All the amenities and a perfect location!
"We arrived in New York during a cold spell but warmed up quickly in this wonderful apartment. We loved every aspect of this place and loved coming home to it each day. Fantastic neighborhood ... grocery store, wine shop, flower shop ... all located within one block ... and subway access directly across the street. Great kitchen, lovely beds, super well maintained and clean!! A special thanks to Nancy, Andrew and Eva at Herrick Guest Suites for communicating with us throughout our stay. And, when our flights were cancelled due to icy weather, we were able to work with this fantastic team (with very little notice) to extend our stay for two additional nights. It was the perfect stay from start to finish!"

"We visited NYC this week and found this spot on VRBO. What a gem. While the living space is petite, the three bedrooms were lovely- calm and comfortable beds. Each room had AC which muffled any NYC noise and kept us cool. While it is not fancy, it was clean, stocked with what we needed and an EXCELLENT location. Quick walk to Magnolia, great restaurants, Teich Toys and Books and overlooked the park! Without folks below us - we weren't worried about making noise (two active kids running around) and it was only a one flight walk up! Perfect."

"Enjoyed being able to stay and feel part of the city. This property was clean and quiet- I only heard someone else in the building once and no traffic sounds. Bed and foldouts were comfortable and thermostat was locked but we were perfectly comfortable. Bathroom had a nice deep tub and for the four of us showing, never ran out of hot water. Sheets and towels provided and other things like blowdryer, iron, even q-tips available. Plenty of bedding and pillows. No problems with plumbing or running out of toilet paper. Plenty of lighting and kitchen was very nice to use. We didn't cook but did make things like oatmeal or heat up leftovers and never had a problem with any appliances. Even found a few things in the cabinet to eat once or twice (thank you- the peanut butter sandwich I made was a life-saver!) Followed directions on the use of the tv and no problems. Plenty of dishes to use and soap to wash them before we left. No freezer in the house fyi, just a mini-fridge. Front door does have a gap but locked well with a deadbolt so never felt unsafe, especially since we had the other doors to outside with locks as well as a gate so not really an issue for us. Beautiful décor and plenty of books and magazines if you need them. Borrowed the umbrella one in the fireplace one day which was another life-saver. Plenty of neighborhood markets nearby and a good pizza place down a few blocks (Olga's Pizza) that has large $2 slices and $1 drinks."

Perfect quiet location close to pretty much everything
"My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids the age of 12 and 15) spent a week in the Soho appartment mid october. It was a perfect base for visiting the different parts of Manhatten. We like to walk around (10 miles a day), cause it gives the best impression of the different parts of the city, and Soho was a great starting point in the middle of everything. We walked to Central Park (North), The High Line (West), 9/11 Memorial (South), Brooklyn Bridge (Southwest) and most of Broadway. Little Italy/Chinatown is within 10-15 minutes walking distance.
Thompson St. itself is really quiet, and the surrounding streets has lots of dining places and shops to visit, so you don't have to carry shopping bags for miles - most is available in the neighbourhood.
The owner was easy to contact and very responsive, the keys were handed over in person when we got to Manhatten late in the afternoon, and we had a great week in Soho. Lots of tourists live in the area around Madison Square Garden and towards Times Square - and those are nightmare locations compared to Soho. Don't hesitate - it will be a completely different experience to have a quiet base to go back to. Thompson St. is perfect for that.
