"My family of 5 just returned from our very first trip to NYC. From the beginning the management of this property was prompt and courteous with their communication. The beautiful apartment was nicely maintained, clean and exactly as described. No surprises. So much space! We felt like we got a real New York experience staying in this walk-up apartment, right in the middle of a real NY neighborhood. Subway was just a few blocks away- this was our only mode of transportation. CVS and other small markets and delis nearby for stocking up on drinks and snacks. Lovely restaurants nearby-we adored Penelope's for breakfast.
Our flight was canceled at the last minute and we had to scramble to find a way into NYC. We finally got there but it was late! Management stayed in contact with us throughout the ordeal and could not have been nicer. They had someone meet us with a key when we finally arrived-after 11 pm!
We are already planning our next trip to NYC and will definitely stay here again!"

"My wife and I found Richard and Alice's apartment to be the perfect home base for our week-long stay in NYC. Its central location, just a block from MOMA and a few blocks from Central Park and the Theater District proved ideal for our needs as we could walk to many of our destinations. The tastefully decorated space felt like home with its original artwork, comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen and commodious storage all welcoming us like old friends. Speaking of welcome -- their son-in-law greeted us on our arrival and took us through the immaculate space, providing us with basic information on the operation of the various appliances, air conditioning units, etc. and answering our questions. The owners generously included an assortment of complimentary food such as coffee, milk, bread, fresh fruit, and a bottle of wine along with basic spices and condiments for our use. They also provided a mid-week house cleaning service which included fresh sheets and towels and vacuuming and dusting -- a welcome extra which enhanced our stay.
All of the neighbors we encountered in the building, from the building super to those we met in the lobby and elevator were friendly, kind, and welcoming. We had a wonderful seven days in New York, packed with activities and adventures. The fact that we could return to an apartment that felt like home at the end of each activity allowed us to rest and recuperate to be ready for the next adventure. We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties throughout the United States and Europe. We place Richard and Alice's apartment among the best of them and we put Richard and Alice at the top of list of hosts. They provided us with outstanding accommodations and were always available to answer our questions to insure that our stay at their apartment would be amazing... IT WAS!!"

"We had a great experience in this apartment. The place is sizable (much larger than your typical NYC apartment!), with two bedrooms and a spacious living area. We were five adults and one toddler, and we all had enough space. Margo and Vipin were also kind enough to arrange for a pack & play bed for my toddler. The apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed there for a 10-day stay. The commute to central NYC is really quick with the fast trains that stop a few blocks a way. Would definitely come again and recommend to others."

"A cozy place in the centre of West Village - for us definitely the best neighborhood to live in Manhattan. It's like a cool small village within the big city. Many restaurants, cafes, bars and parks in walking distance - we would'nt want to stay anywhere else.
Everything as shown in the pictures. You can feel the spirit of the owner Barbara (who must be a nice person), you feel a lot more at home as in any hotelroom. The bed ist fantastic - very comfortable! The bathroom a bit small but sufficient and economic (hot water all the time, many mirrors and space to put the toiletries). Aircon in living- and bedroom.
You really can't ignore the mentioned Subway. The whole place is shaking for a few seconds everytime a train passes below. But we got used to this after a short time and we found it more funny than annoying. At night we didn't notice it at all.
We didn't meet John as Luca happenend to be around - we had a great welcome and everything went perfect - thanks again.
We'll definitely return to this place !"
