  • What a great location to experience Manhattan!

"Just stayed 6 nights with my wife and 3 teenage boys. Absolute blast! Pics don't do the view justice. We landed in Laguardia. Got 7 day metro passes which cover bus and subway rides before leaving terminal C. Took the Q70 bus to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Heights and then the E subway train to 42 st Port authority station. Literal across the street from the rear of the building. Times Square is 1.5 blocks down 43rd ave. You are right by Hells Kitchen for tons of dining. We did it all. Statue of Liberty. 911 museum. Wall st. Brooklyn bridge. Little Italy. China town. Chelsea market. Times Square. 5th ave and 6th ave shops. Rockefeller plaza. Empire st bldg. Central Park. Museum of natural history. Beautiful walkway on west ave along Hudson River all way to freedom tower. Madison square garden. Grand central station. We never needed a taxi and never rode a bus. We walked and used subways. We will go back to NYC and this rental in a heartbeat. Only advice for anyone is NYC is not for little kids. Lots of walking. Lots of people and traffic. Lots of museums that take some maturity to grasp. Almost forgot. Did Wicked on Broadway. We bought the broadway tickets, 911 museum tickets, and Statue of Liberty tickets online ahead of time. Rest we did as we went. Definitely get liberty tickets early if you want to go up in pedestal. Few people get crown access too if you book 3-4 months ahead."

  • An excellent option

"This apartment is a great option for those who want to spend time in Lower Manhattan or Brooklyn. It is in the heart of the Lower East Side near the Wlliamsburg Bridge, with easy access to East Village, Chinatown, Little italy, Soho, etc etc. Twice we walked across the city to the West Village in under 30 minutes, casual strolling, passing through fascinating areas on the way. Very close to 2 subway lines also. The apartment, as advertised, is large and clean and well furnished. Two TVs, excellent mattress, a hard-wired computer and 2 different WiFi networks. Clean is a big issue, as places in NYC are not always up to the standards of home, but this place is really clean! Awesome view to the west from the 18th floor - maybe all the way to Jersey? As noted by others, the immediate surroundings are a bit grim - parking lots and other high-rise buildings, but at no time did we feel even remotely unsafe. It's a very user friendly area. Ana, the landlady, is extremely helpful and co-operative. There was a little complexity surrounding our arrival time and she worked with us so we got the keys well in advance. One could not ask for a more accommodating owner; she made it all very easy. Even left us with a welcome basket of wine, beer and sundry junk foods. The only qualification is that the cleaning fee ($100) is a bit high when compared to comparable listings in VRBO. Overall, strongly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area."

  • Very central for exploring the city

"Me and my colleage were in NY on a business trip. The check-in manager was very accommodating to our arrival time (pretty late, I'd say). Most importantly, the apartment was clean and well kept, everything looked nice (much better than pictures!), spaces were quite comfortable (though the place might seem rather small in the pics, it was absolutely satisfying our needs), and everything worked. It was very helpful having a fridge and a microwave to store and heat up leftovers. Also the apt is very central for exploring the city, and if we had had time, we would have definitely been able to walk pretty much everywhere without any trouble. The one catch is, the apartment is located on the 2d floor without lift (it could be important for people who have physical problems), so be prepared! Apart from that our stay there was great, and next time we would choose it again, no doubt."

  • Amazing Trip!

"This Central Park West pre-war apartment was fantastic. The apt. has enough space, is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need to feel like home away from home. My family of 4 stayed here and had a great trip! The owners were super friendly, helpful and accessible. Being right across the street from Central Park was incredible! It is also right next to the train so you can get most anywhere in the city easily. The kids had a blast and the apt. is across from a huge play ground. We will come stay here again for sure."
