  • Great Location

"Apartment was in a great location. Close to Central Park, close to restaurants and a 2 block walk to the subway. The neighbourhood felt safe, and it was great for evening strolls. We walked every where. We even walked down to the theatre district, Rockerfeller Plaza and Times Square. It was a bit of a trek to walk that far but the weather was so nice we enjoyed the walking. For those who don't want to walk that far the subway is just down the street. This apartment was the right size for the 2 of us. I think it would be fine for an extra child but 3 adults would feel pretty cramped. The internet worked without a hitch. Photos were accurate and it had all the amenities we needed for our stay Two suggestions: -the bedroom needs some new, real pillows. The pillows were very thin, no support and uncomfortable to sleep on. It was like there were no pillows at all. I advised Tony of the situation while we were there but never heard back from him. -the couch needs a good cleaning and possibly updating. It's a beige couch in a rented apartment; you can see where it is worn and dark from sitting on. It doesn't look clean....which doesn't mean that it isn't."

  • Great apartment & overall experience

"This was a great find in TriBeCa. Perfect for a couple, close to all of downtown- soho, west village, financial district, world trade centre & Chinatown. Also great subway links to all of Manhattan. The owner was responsive & delightful to deal with. Plenty extra towels & bedding. Plenty space for luggage, lounging, etc great overall experience and only one flight of stairs up. Would recommend highly."

  • Five Star Hotel Quality

"My husband and I just had a delightful long President's day weekend at this apt. We can't say enough about it. From the minute we arrived the doorman helped us with luggage and gave us our keys. The apt. opens up to a lovely grand foyer that opens to each room. There is light everywhere as this spacious apt. has three exposures with lots of windows in every room including the bathroom and eat in kitchen (beautiful views too) . The apt. was immaculate, the decor is contemporary and sophisticated. Everything is of the highest quality. The bedding was of a 5 star hotel quality right down to the Louis Vuitton decorative throw pillows, a first for me! As for the area, you are literally in the center of everything you need and lots of transportation options, And you're in the lovely and quiet west village area for strolling, shopping and dining. Don't miss a stay here. I'm glad we didn't!"

  • Charming . . . indeed ! ! !

"After reading so many reviews through the years, I think it might be important to know that this review is being submitted by a couple in their mid-40's who are active, love to travel, and enjoy eating well, and who have been to NYC several times. That being said, this apartment/house was absolutely perfect for us. It was beautifully furnished and decorated, very clean, and the owners used the space so wisely. Also, I could write a paragraph devoted to the shower, but I will leave it at . . . there is plenty of hot water, and it is a powerful shower that seemed at times more like a sauna or steam treatment. Awesome! The description and pictures are very accurate. The owner was also kind enough to be flexible in accommodating our check-in and check-out times because of our flight times. Yes, it is beside a small, busy restaurant, and you can hear some kitchen activity at times, but we did not find it disturbing at all. We loved the neighborhood, and also found it to be an easy walk to either of the 2 subway stops nearby. Bottom line: If possible, we would stay here EVERY time we visited NYC. The restaurants that we most enjoyed were: Colicchio & Sons, Balthazar, Gramercy Tavern, Minetta Tavern, Suteishi, and Boqueria SoHo. Other diners/food places that we really liked were Sarge's Deli, French Roast, Faicco's, and Murray's. In past trips, we have experienced and enjoyed the tourist "mainstays." This trip, we enjoyed strolling The High Line, The Cloisters, the Financial District, Battery Park, The SeaPort, and Washington Square Park. For other fun, evening entertainment, we saw the Broadway musical, Chicago, we listened to live music at Terra Blues, and we visited Raines Law Room. A review is simply one person's opinion, so do your "research" and find places and attractions that interest you . . . and your fellow travelers. I hope you will be as lucky as we were to find a great place to stay."
