"Jessica is a great host. Good communication and check in was very simple...she was there to greet us with keys!
Nice, eclectic neighborhood that hasn't been over-run with Starbucks, Chipotle, etc. Didn't see a chain store or restaurant for many blocks!
Apartment is very clean! Living area is quite large for NY so, it was nice to hang out and relax there most of the time. The kitchen is nice too...small but everything within reach if you are inclined to cook (we didn't).
The only downside to the apartment, and this is more just a commonality of NYC, is that the bedroom and bathroom are VERY small. The bedroom fits, barely, the bed with only room at the foot of the bed to stand (so, you have to crawl into the bed from the foot of the bed). And the bathroom is very tight with little room to move around...and for sure only for one person at a time! My female companion had to adjust a bit in terms of blow drying hair, etc. but she did and it was fine.
Overall, I would certainly stay here again given how cool the neighborhood is and how much fun we had walking around and stuff. And host could not be an nicer, which is a huge plus!"

"My husband and I and another couple stayed here for 4 nights. It is a wonderful and charming apartment that really felt like a home. In addition to the spacious apartment, there is a backyard which was lovely at the time of year we went (end of May). There was also Wifi, which I'm not sure was indicated in the listing. Sondra and Mike were very available both before and during our stay. It is a fantastic location and we hope to stay here again on our next trip to New York. There are lots of restaurants in the area and it is close to the Highline Park, Empire Diner, and the Flatiron Building as well as two subway lines. Thanks again Sondra!"

"Tremendous location a 2-minute walk from the Met. Very clean and quiet, looking out over a backyard you don't expect on the upper east side.
There isn't a closet or armoir. We'd prefer having an armoir to some of the other furniture."

"Enjoyed being able to stay and feel part of the city. This property was clean and quiet- I only heard someone else in the building once and no traffic sounds. Bed and foldouts were comfortable and thermostat was locked but we were perfectly comfortable. Bathroom had a nice deep tub and for the four of us showing, never ran out of hot water. Sheets and towels provided and other things like blowdryer, iron, even q-tips available. Plenty of bedding and pillows. No problems with plumbing or running out of toilet paper. Plenty of lighting and kitchen was very nice to use. We didn't cook but did make things like oatmeal or heat up leftovers and never had a problem with any appliances. Even found a few things in the cabinet to eat once or twice (thank you- the peanut butter sandwich I made was a life-saver!) Followed directions on the use of the tv and no problems. Plenty of dishes to use and soap to wash them before we left. No freezer in the house fyi, just a mini-fridge. Front door does have a gap but locked well with a deadbolt so never felt unsafe, especially since we had the other doors to outside with locks as well as a gate so not really an issue for us. Beautiful décor and plenty of books and magazines if you need them. Borrowed the umbrella one in the fireplace one day which was another life-saver. Plenty of neighborhood markets nearby and a good pizza place down a few blocks (Olga's Pizza) that has large $2 slices and $1 drinks."
