"My friend and I just spent 4 nights at this apartment with our 10 year old sons. The location was great. We felt very safe in this neighborhood and even ventured out twice at midnight for frozen yogurt. We were able to walk to the Museum of Natural History and into Central Park. The subway is very close by and getting a taxi was no problem. The apartment was cozy and clean and the bath towels are super soft! The kitchen was large and the beds are comfortable. I really have nothing bad to say. It was my first experience with VRBO and I was a little nervous about sending my payment in advance. The owner was great about reassuring me. The keys arrived well in advance of our travel dates and he checked with us on arrival to make sure everything was ok. We really couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks Peter!"Guest: Moms and Sons trip Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
"I have been to New York on several occasions and have stayed at hotels. Not only were the rooms small, but the prices were steep. Because of this, I decided to rent an apartment. Ray's place far exceeded my expectations. Not only was it clean and comfortable, it was easy to access through public transportation. In addition, Ray was great about communicating with me and answering questions before my arrival. My 20 year old son and I were greeted by Ray right outside the apartment. He quickly gave us a tour of the apartment and explained how everything worked. Ray even provided us a map that included the subway routes. We purchased a 7 day Metro Card for $30 and had no problem getting around the city. We even rode the train to New Jersey to attend a concert at MetLife Stadium. I also had the opportunity to get a run in a few blocks from the apartment. I asked Ray if there was a place where I could run. He directed me to Riverbank Park which was just a few blocks away. I ran a quick 4 miles and got some great pictures of the George Washington bridge. I never once felt threatened or scared while walking around the neighborhood even when my son and I were walking back to the apartment late at night after the concert. On the day of departure, we met Ray to hand over the keys, and he offered to call a cab for us. We opted to ride the bus to LaGuardia airport from the apartment. It was a quick 2 block walk to the bus stop and one bus transfer to get there. Our stay at Ray's apartment was such a pleasant experience. If I ever travel to New York in the future, I will definitely stay at his place again."Guest: Cynthia G. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing
"Spent a week at this excellent 2 BR apt. The amenities provided were far more than expected! Kitchen had a cabinent full of condiments, coffee, and eveything you'd need to cook your purchased food. Generous linen and towel supply. Tony was available whenever I called him before and during the rental. The apt. was near everything I needed or wanted including the gym I have membership with (Crunch Fitness). The place is extremely clean and Tony provides a manual with all you need to know about the apt: TV, Internet, Keys, etc We have already recommended this apt. to friends, family and colleagues. We will return whenever in NYC."Guest: Gary Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 10, 2014View listing
"I cannot agree more with the reviews below. Our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters stayed here for a 4 day sightseeing trip to New York. The apartment is in a great location, easy walking distance to the two 72nd Street Subway stations, giving easy access to all downtown areas with minimum changes; also walkable to the Lincoln Center. It has its own entrance on W74th Street. There is a good range of local shops and restaurants including the amazing Fairways (super)market. The posted pictures don't really do justice to the apartment itself which is huge and furnished and decorated in exquisite taste and air conditioned. Should you want to cook, the kitchen appliances and equipment are very comprehensive. Last, but by no means least, Sheila is a most welcoming, attentive and considerate host. I would not hesitate in recommending it."Guest: Michael L. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 19, 2014View listing
