"We stayed here for a long weekend as a family of four and really enjoyed it. The place has two small, functional bedrooms but a nice larger living room and kitchen area. Kitchen and bathroom were nice, clean and well-equipped and we liked having a washer/dryer. The location is family-friendly and quiet but perfect for all adventures of discovering Manhattan. It is wonderful to be so close to the park - which made for great morning runs - and to two subway lines (especially since 96St is an express stop). All communication with the owners was super easy and we were grateful for their local recommendations. The market at the corner served all our breakfast needs and the convenient table + chairs at the apartment helped us to save money by eating in. We were here during very hot August days and so we struggled a bit with the fact that the window-ACs were very loud and could hardly be left on during the night. So in addition to the squeaky bunk bend, sleep was hard to come by because it was always either too hot or too loud. Nevertheless, we would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing home while exploring Manhattan."

"My wife and I went to NYC to visit our daughter (who lives in Brooklyn) and to see some shows. The apartment is comfortable (air conditioning works very well) and beautiful (especially the view from the balcony). It is also very conveniently located, with Lincoln Center (where we went to two performances) essentially next door. There is a subway station only a 15 minute walk away, so it is very easy to get to Broadway (where we saw two plays). Coming home from Broadway was only a $10 cab ride (not including tip). There is also a grocery store just around the corner that stays open till 10 p.m.
What really made our stay special was how wonderful a host James was. My wife and I have had very good luck with VRBO both in the US and Europe. But, James was, by far, the best host we have encountered. The apartment is very well stocked with coffee, sweeteners, condiments, towels, toiletries, tour books and maps of NYC, and numerous other items that made us feel truly at home. There were even umbrellas, which were very helpful during the deluge we encountered one day.
We are already planning our trip back to NYC next year, and will definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this wonderful place."

"The studio -- and the building -- are quiet, clean, and super-convenient to everything. Subway stop half a block away, and a terrific neighborhood for browsing, shopping, eating, and walking. Miriam is wonderful -- accessible, helpful, and local to handle any questions or issues. Small things really made this place extra enjoyable: the hot water actually gets hot and warms up quickly. The elevator is quick and available. There's a vestibule that you enter off the street, so you're inside -- not standing on the sidewalk or in the weather -- as you're getting out your key and opening the lock to the front door. The little fridge keeps things cold. There are plenty of hangers in the closet. It's easy to find where to put trash/garbage. (None of these are things you can take for granted in a VRBO apartment!) Note that although there are plenty of places to get coffee within half a block or less, if you're someone who needs to make coffee before you leave the apt in the morning, be sure you know how to work a French press --- it's not hard, just different from a drip machine. I loved my stay here -- I'd especially recommend it to someone traveling alone."

"Our family of 5, with 2 older teenager's spent Christmas and New Year at this property. From the time we arrived until we left we had an amazing time!!! Located close to Central Park, restaurants, bars, shops and subway station, everything we required was within a 3 block radius. The apartment is located in a quiet Street and was very clean, warm, spacious and homely. It had everything you need to create family meals and enjoy some down time away from the hustle and bustle of the City. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Our family will have a great lasting memory of our NYC Christmas in this apartment with all the trimming!! This apartment gives you a real feeling of what life in NYC is like, one you cant get from a motel room. I would highly recommend this apartment."
