"If Manhattan is not your thing and most certainly do not travel as I did from Jersey. Then, perhaps, this lovely little apartment may be perfect. Located in a heart of vibrant ethnic neighborhood, a stone's throw from JFK. This truly a nice little gem. I stayed here with my two small kids and I found everything that I needed was in the apartment. The owner ensured that I had a fully stocked larder because there is not a good supermarket very close to the apartment which was most helpful. Immaculately spotless and clean, with the owner there to provide every need. Made staying in New York a pleasure, about two blocks - although up a biggish hill (not San Francisco big) - from the Subway make this a prime location. Furthermore, cannot go wrong with its proximity to JFK.
However, rather far Manhattan and the nightlife that is there as Queens is considered a suburb of NYC proper. Quite a few good eateries are around the apartment but mainly Spanish in a predominantly South East Asian neighborhood. Streets were safe and quiet. Apartment sleeps 3 - two sharing a bed and one on a pull out sofa.
Many thanks to the host for providing such a wonderful apartment."

"The appartment was in well equiped, in great condition and close to the subway.
The owner was very helpfull and provided us with a room to store our bags so that we could enjoy our last day in NY after checking out.
I would recommend anyone looking for rental in NY to have a look at this object."

A quiet sanctuary within one subway stop of Grand Central Station
"If you're tired of the noise, chaos, grit of Manhattan, but love to play in Manhattan, the place to go to sleep, relax, and enjoy looking at Manhattan from a distance is the City Sonnet lofts. We just returned from a month at City Sonnet. We were four doors from the subway, one stop to Grand Central Station. Essentially you are in Manhattan without all the negatives. From Grand Central Station, it is two more stops to Times Square and direct access to all the theatre you could want.
City Sonnet itself is spacious, filled with light, quiet, and very clean. All expected amenities are in order.
Long Island City is Manhattan's best kept secret. It is a nice, quiet community with good restaurants and all the other amenities you need (two excellent grocery stores and Duane Reade three blocks away). A two block block walk takes you to the extraordinary Gantry Park, on the East River. (And you'll learn what a gantry is). From the park you are gazing upon the most spectacular view of Manhattan. We couldn't get enough of it. The East River ferry leaves from the park and goes to 34th Street in Manhattan and to Pier 11 in lower Manhattan.
After a month in Long Island City, we decided we would never stay IN Manhattan again. Long Island City gave us everything we needed in a very comfortable way.

"The pictures of the property are accurate. This house in Queens was a good setup for the seven of us. The place is compact but with a good layout for socializing. Two bathrooms and laundry facilities are a plus. It's about a ten minute walk to the #7 subway station, and grocery. Convenient to Tony's pizza, which is excellent."
