"New York friends told me to stay in Brooklyn Heights and Howard's place was perfect. A real neighborhood with tree lined streets and the promenade, with view of Manhattan, just steps away. Restaurants and shopping around the corner. We often got take-out and enjoyed it in the apt. The apt bed is super comfortable. I loved the view out the front windows of the treelined street. The subway is near by and a quick hop to Manhattan, or exploring Brooklyn. The efficiency kitchen allowed us to prepare simple meals.
Howard has this down to a science, everything you need is in the apt. He was also available by phone each time I needed him. Extra credit for overniting my wallet to California when I left it behind. The value and quality on this apt cannot be beat. I should mention, it is a 2 story walk up with rather steep stairs. Someone with mobility problems might want an elevator or street level unit. I would stay here again and recommend it."

"We are a german family of four - two daughters 16/19 years old and we stayed for 4 nights to explore NYC.
Although our journey didn´t started well (our luggage stayed in Madrid, it was raining and we had some delay so we arrived late on midnight), Linda and Neil tried to make our stay as much as comfortable. They prepared some tooth brushes and took us some clothes to slep. The appartment was very clean and lovely furnished. They arranged some fresh fruits in the kitchen and we also had the oppotunity to wash our clothes in the included washing machine. Neil helps us to contact the airline fpr getting back our luggage and last but not least he offered us to stay at home instead of us not to passing our luggage. They gave us lots of interesting ideas what we can do and where we will find some tasting foods.
The walk with the staten island ferry is every time exiting and the skyline from NY is almost amazing. Finally it´s good to know that Neil also speaks german very well.
So our next stay in NYC will be at Linda and Neil in their Victorian Villa on Staten Island."

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying two weeks over Christmas in this fabulous apartment. Photos don't do it justice. Fabulous location and Shani's local tips proved invaluable. Shani and Albert are absolutely delightful and a slight hiccup we had with heating was dealt with immediately without any fuss. Thank you Shani and Albert for allowing us to stay and we hope to return some day."
